I think it's time to have a new webmaster for the level42webdigest as it seems the current webmaster isn't doing her job good enough.

I received mails from several friends that are censored their mails because of no reason.
Looks like Lisa is forgetting this is a Level 42 community and irritating/blocking people causes distraction and irritance to the community

I think it's a good idea Loz has... Having several level42forums, so people that maybe are anoying eachothe rdon't have to come in eachoithers neighbourhood..

Therefor my statement: let's all create forums about l42 and promote them form one page, everybody links to that page as homepage, and from there democracy of forums will happen...

Norman

Just playing Level 42 the album again as recommended as I hadn't played it for about a week and it is an absolute classic and stands out.
Off to see them tomorrow night and can't wait.
Just hoping I get to hear a few from that one and Guaranteed too, that would be a great surprise and pleasure also.
Just whacked on Guaranteed and sure a completely different album & feel and unfortunately not yet given the same digital remastering treatment (hopefully one day soon?) It's still an excellent album though and i wouldn't dare compare it with L42 because it's different line up and done in a different style and L42 cannot be bettered

Just thinking of my own fashion blunders over the years, I hate looking back at my own wedding photos!!
Cracked a few naff jokes in my time too but no real damage done.

It would be great to see what the original line up would produce today but having said that I'd love to see the current line up get into the studio to see what they could do.
Just wish Mike Lindup could be up on stage with the boys tomorrow night. A nice surprise would be for them to start playing Lasso The Moon and Mike suddenly appear with a mic. and start singing. Don't think it will happen though unfortunately
Not into dead horses myself but looking forward to seeing some fine musicians perform tomorrow night

Anyway lets enjoy the old and new and be thankful that there are fine musicians still out there on the road bringing great music to a town near you if you are lucky enough (50 miles away ain't bad I suppose)

cheers all

Pete

Dear All,

Would love it if anyone can answer this question: - What does MK
currently use on his live tour for his bass guitar sound? Everything
from his bass cabinets, amp heads, processors, foot pedals, strings,
etc. I thought someone had asked something similar to this in the past,
but couldn't remember if they received an answer or not. Any help would
be appreciated.

Thanks so much! Peace to all...

~Sean

Steve.
I can believe you said that to Lisa D.
she does a sterling job with Dan on the web digest.
She gives up most of her time to moderate for nothing and i think what you had to say was bang out of  order mate.
If you had any common sense you would write to her and apologise because one thing thats stated in the rules is that bad language is not exceptable.
You have only yourself to blame for being barred and i am sure you have learnt a valuable lesson in not to do that on digest.
Sharmin

Most of you probably know this, but just to confirm:
Lisa is _not_ a Nazi (nor a "natzi").
Apparently some photos managed to get into Steve’s
possession (Lisa, I’m sorry, I don’t know how this
happened); these photos are _not_ authentic 1940s-ish
documents. Lisa was just, well, generously helping me
with some, er, um, fetish(es)/fantasy(s) I just can’t
quite shake (gotta love them boots!).
See the abundance of honey and rubber duckies in the
background? Clearly non-Nazi behavior...
Personally I think they are wonderful photos and I
cherish them during "special" moments with myself
(thanks again, LD).
Please, Steve, in some non-"natzi" manner, destroy the
photos, and like a good chap don’t mention this again.

Also, Microsoft no longer has a shortage of commas;
please feel free to use as many as you need.

...but there's a catch!
As you might have read, we've decided to have a quiz at the level fest. However, we thought why not have a quiz now? If you go to www.levelfest.dk you'll even find two quizzes. For each quiz the prize is an exclusive mp3 download featuring a Level 42 track. If you want to find out which -> go to www.levelfest.dk and take a look.

Please contact us if you experience any problems.

See you there,

Andrew, I just read your perfect storm.  I'd love to hear the rationale behind the Haircut 100 affinity, of which I do not believe I've yet had the pleasure. I too have several of their recordings.

The Jay Dee ebay item was priceless.  I must share this with you.  It may not be to everyone's enjoyment, but then, what is?

My favourite demo is emphatically A Kick In The Head. I love the funky melodramatic bass and forceful drumming.  I also really enjoy the scatting.

Eric, what are your thoughts on the famous Toronto house band know as The New Deal? Have you seen them?

What do you guys think of the new Bowie cd?

Colin
