I am very saddend when I drive by there as it is now a housing
development. That was the first time I saw L42 and Mark was standing the
right hand side, if I am correct.

Nice houses though!

Michael, I was a big fan of The Christians about 10 years ago. I bought
their first album after hearing Ideal World and Born Again on the radio.
They had three studio albums called The Christians, Colour and Happy In
Hell. After Happy In Hell they released another single called The Perfect
Moment followed by a Greatest Hits, but that was about 8 years ago now.
Garry Christian released some solo stuff a few years back, which i didn't
bother buying, but the band got back together to tour last year and I think
they may have re-released their Greatest Hits.

As I find with most bands, I found their album tracks superior to most of
their singles, and this is definitely the case with Colour. Ace album.
I'll bet my arm you'll find them all on eBay.

And for those of you who care - Audioslave consist of Tom Morello, Brad
Wilks and Tim Commerford from RATM and Chris Cornell, the lead vocalist
from Soundgarden. They formed last year and released a pretty impressive
debut album. Zach De La Rocha, the vocalist from Rage is currently doing
some solo stuff with DJ Shadow.

Sorry about the lack of L42 content, but people did ask.
Steve

No, but the subscribers and contributors do, if they want to talk about new incarnations of the band, then so be it.

Dear Digest members.

I am desperately trying to get a copy of Forever Now Renaissance edition – if any one is willing to make a copy for me please email me at whitefluffyclouds @ btinternet.com.

I am more than happy to pay – this appears to be such a hard CD to track down.

Hoping someone can help

Paul S.

Yes but on the upside, you do get to not be American.

Maybe you could explain that one a little better?  I dunno, but it just appears that you're corralling the Americans as one lot with the same mind frame, same scope of everything.  ;)

Well, I was reading the digest in early January and there was a tedious
argument whatever. I fell asleep......

I just woke up, two months later, to find that the tedious argument is
still going on. So before I pass out again, I'd like to make a few points.

It seems the endless whining of subsribers sick of the likes of My
Andrew, Alex and a few others help pave the road of the temporary extinction
of the email based digest. Since it's resurrection, I've heard nothing but
mindless bickering about the most ridiculous things. Furthermore, it wasn't
caused by Andrew, Alex, or myself. I suppose since it's L42 related it's
okay. I disagree, it's boring. At least we were entertaining to a point.

So, please, stop trying to be unique by arguing what variant of L42 is
the best. It's just not interesting. And if you say "Well it's interesting
to us" then you are being hypocrites.

Going back to sleep now, wake me when the debate rises above Junior High
Debate Club level.

  Brian

to the Wallace & Gromit movie that was supposedly in the works?

Ah, a topic close to my heart. I think the movie is still in the works.

Oh come now. This is so pessimistic. I'm sure this is not true, but sadly
you may believe it. What about Avalon? I have a hunch you hold that one
dear. 20 years ago you were probably still listening to the 70's, if not
discovering Katie Lied or Countdown To Ecstasy.

I'm sure any music lover will have many recordings in their collection that
would intrigue the
listener if heard for the first time today. I believe there are
songs/albums throughout the life of a music lover for which this would hold
true. It may come from a Disney film, from something your parents listened
to (that is actually pretty good in retrospect) or at anything thereafter,
onward in to the days of self indulgence. One of my favourite records still
is Bookends by Simon and Garfunkle. I was about 6 and still play the vinyl
that was my mother's. I can't stand how good Punky's Dilemma is.

No, that role's for the likes of yourself.

Note to A.G. Sorry about the grammar, but I heard it in a Richard Burton
movie and thought it was neat.

Soundgarden. Wait, don't tell me you don't headbang to Badmotorfinger.

This isn't really a 42 sighting, though you simply must check out the
results of my Google search and what appears to be the most comprehensive
list of 42 sightings and theories imaginable. I deliver you the new
religion.

Mark, There would be little to no reason why MK would
need to signal anyone at the board if he is walking
off the stage (unless they are coming back for an
encore, maybe)...although I haven't seen the video in
many a year.
Also, depending on it it's a posterior or anterior
hand angle, MK _could_ be 'peacing out' someone, or
telling them something a little bit less nice.

I think the poster mean moreso their average audience.
You know, the kids that will wear a Che Guevera
t-shirt when their only familiarity with Cuba is that
it's where Tony Montana had octopus "coming out of his
phucking ears"

> This new band is called Audioslave.

Yeah, apparently they wrote more songs with Cornell
(Soundgarden) in 18 days (or something) than they did
in xx years as RatM. (MK, take note)
