| Mike, level 42 were given a camera in the 80's by the BBC, along with a bunch of other acts. They produced a show that included a few live concert tracks, interviews, and teaching sessions with young musicians. The show opened with the band playing 'cheesy' standards like 'tie a yellow ribbon'..so this may be what you are referring to. This was the 'PLAY AT HOME' series... The 'GUitar Court' sketch is classic, and i'll do a REAL MEDIA capture, and ask Carl to host it at www.forevernow.com Win http://www.dvdprofiler.com/mc.asp?alias=winman42&type=O&sc=C&ls=T | ||

| Happy new Year to you All In reply to Mike's question re Chirpy Chirpy, the track was in fact Tie a Yellow Ribbon if I remember correctly, and it was done in the Karioke studio in Bourbon Street, New Orleans. It was in a documentary during an american tour, a lot of which was filmed in New Orleans. Mark also told the dreadful "when drumming stop, bass solo" joke! I know that studio as I did a track in there myself, to a tape of one of my own songs. When I stepped out I was applauded by the people watching on the monitors outside. - stardom!! | Welcome back, Tom! Its funny how you get to recognize people by their email addresses :) I distinctly remember the "britishsugar" address. And also (in case I didn't already say this?), welcome back Lolita! FYI, now that the Digest is fully back up and running, we'll be doing an email campaign to the entire base of previous subscribers in the next few days. I'm anticipating at least a few (!) new ("old") subscribers. cheers, Eric | ||

| Ok, take this as you will, but a girl in Germany, whom I know only slightly by e-mail, wrote this to me: "Do you think Mark will bring out a new album this year? He told me so in cologne, it will be told "bird". I told him if heīs joking and he laughs and says "NO".Is he joking or not?? I didnīt had the impression that he lies. He is a honest guy..surprise surprise..." "Bird", hmm? A reference to Charlie Parker? Will this be a really jazzy album? Is this the Sean Freeman influence coming to bear on MK? Your guess is as good as mine.... Cheers - Z. | ||
