| Yes! Another Kraftwerk fan here. I'm also a fan of Jean Michel Jarre, Steely Dan, Vangelis, Scritti Politti, Mike Oldfield, Chic, Howard Jones, Nik Kershaw and Human League (I think I'm showing my age here) What I have always liked about Level 42 is their blending of synth sounds with acoustic instruments. They early work especially sounds like an amalgam of all the other artists I like. Dave Ratcliffe Gorton, Manchester, England d.a.ratcliffe @ ntlworld.com | ||

| I was watching VH-1's "I Love The 70s" series last nite and they were showing Lynyrd Skynyrd singing "Sweet Home Alabama". The first time I heard "Changing The Guard" I noticed the similarity in some of the chords. Then it hit me that it would be really awesome if Mark did an acoustic guitar version of "Changing The Guard" on the tour this fall. I think it's such a beautiful song, how much lovelier would it be with two acoustic guitars, Mark and a backup singer? Mmmmmmmmmm... Same thing goes for "Changes" with just Mike and a piano. Even without all the technology behind them, Level 42 still makes the best music in the world! Answers on a postcard please... Jennifer | ||

Thanks Eric for the post on kraftwerk....mine's on order. What was the context of your post about ebay?! I was saying the same thing last night when they were busy installing their new home page. I think the summer digest should relax its rules to include other groups. It's either that or nothing! Mark (My alembic bass is being built as we speak and as you chaps in UK sleep....) ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
