Regards, Anselm. Aaargh, I just found this and thought it was hilarious! :) *An anthropologist decides to investigate the natives of a far-flung tropical island. He flew there, found a guide with a canoe to take him up the river to the remote site where he would make his collections. About noon on the second day of travel up the river they began to hear drums. Being a city boy by nature, the anthropologist was disturbed by this. He asked the guide, "What are those drums?" The guide turned to him and said "Drums OK, but VERY BAD when they stop." Then, after some hours, the drums suddenly stopped! This hit the anthropologist like a ton of bricks, and he yelled at the guide: "The Drums have stopped, what happens now?" The guide crouched down, covered his head with his hands and said, "Bass Solo". * Drums stop, very bad, mmm'kay? ;) Jennix - also known as Her Divine Shadowess, Misstress of the Holy StanHat, Adamantiumqueen, Nestingplace of Tribbles, official madgirl, Defender of Sillyness & Misspellings, Glorious Goddess of Television, Keeper of The Riddle, an ordinary angel, Worshipper of The Great Pretender and Mistress Of The Swedish Lexx-Crusade ********************************************************** -------------------- talk21 your FREE portable and private address on the net at http://www.talk21.com ------------------------------ Subject: Mark Interview From: "Nick Smith" Date: Fri, 06 Apr 2001 10:58:47 Hallo! Nick Smith It don't know about becoming a Jedi. Surely there is a better King to worship! Must agree also about Chris Squire. I was that aspiring bass player who went out and bought Rickenbacker 4001 I haven't seen 90125 Live video I will listen for the slap on `Hold On' and `I've Seen All Good People' at home. I heard what I thought was Yes vocals sampled on a dance track last night. Am I right anyone? I hate these things, but ;o) Cheers ~ Mike (Sydney City Milkman) _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. ------------------------------ Subject: Update from Sydney From: "Mike Bartlett" Date: Sat, 07 Apr 2001 03:07:18 Hi people.... ....the Milkman here, with an update from Sydney: The Digest's very own soul diva Lolita Jackson arrived in Australia a few days ago. I knew she wasn't here for long so, when she called me, I suggested dinner that night. She also got hold of Rebecca 'RJ' Johnson and we, along with my son Jack, went al fresco at Crystal's on Manly Corso. Funny thing is, Rebecca lives just up the road from me and we'd never met - I wished we had a long time ago. We all connected instantly and had a great time - it was a warm autumn evening and the food and wine were excellent, but nothing compared to the company and the Level 42 stories! Our laughter was extremely loud and I'm sure we scared some other diners away! As Rebecca said, "We had 50 conversations happening at once!" The next day, Friday, I picked Lolita up and had the pleasure of being her Sydney tour guide - shopping in The Rocks (ask her about her new didgeridoo!), fish and chips at Watsons Bay, cruising around Bondi Beach. We had a lot of fun - it was a beautiful day and Lolita is fantastic company. That night I witnessed something special. Rebecca's band, ChartBusters, had a gig in Bondi Junction and Lolita and I went to watch. They're a great band and, halfway through the night, they persuaded Lolita to join them on stage for a number. So there I was, watching two of my favourite people performing together, unrehearsed and sounding brilliant - Lolita has a big powerful voice and the soul to match and Rebecca is one hell of a bass player. I took some photos - look out for them on a website near you soon! I've had an excellent time with these guys and just wanted to share it with you. Tonight we're hooking up with Jeff 'Impeccable Groove' Mahoney - the other Sydney Digester I've never met. Can't wait....
