I actually shed tears yesterday whilst we had the 3 minutes silence and my 10 week old baby (who is a terrible screamer) was finally calm and serene. I really could not believe my feeling of sadness - I am usually a really hard cow and I didn't really feel that much even when Diana died. I feel immense grief and sadness, and I haven't even lost anyone in this dreadful act of terrorism. I too am heartened by Nations coming together and supporting the US in any decisions made. My heart goes out to all who are suffering with loss of families and friends. My mind has also gone back to the songs 'I want eyes' and 'The Chant' - how real and true those songs finally seem. This situation has also cast my mind back to all the bickering we once read on the digest, the USA v UK and other Europeans. It all seems a distant memory now, and when this kind of thing happens it shows how we all really feel - as one. Lolita, I read your post to the digest about what happened to you, and it gave me goose bumps. Im so glad you got out in time, it must have been a huge shock for you when you heard what had happened. Winston, if your readig this, send me a mail as I dont have your email address. Im really glad you are both ok, thank god! I cant believe its happened, I cant watch the news anymore - because I keep crying, its too upsetting. Lets hope whoever was behind these terrible tradgedies come to justice, and soon.
