Hi Mario, Just to let you know, Mark buys some of his clothes from a trendy (but very expensive!) shop on the Island. If you would like to email me privately I can let you know where it is and the name etc etc......... My friend shops in the same shop for her boyfriend, and she just happened to be in there one day when Mark was shopping! DAVID COUSINS - Glad to hear you are home and safe. It was really great meeting you and Signa (hope I spelt it right?) the other week, hopefully we will get the chance to meet up again sometime. Yeah, Mrs Poncey Name will do nicely, better than my new married name, hehehe! I had never thought of "Life Will Never Be The Same" in this way, but I'm wondering if on some level it might have been a song from Mike to Mark about moving in different directions. In the liner notes, Mike thanks "Mark K. for the ocean waves," and thanks his friends, "some of whom are pictured within" (which could perhaps mean inside him or inside the album). Lyrics appear below. Any thoughts? Days, I love these golden days They won't be here forever so savor them I must Friends, I count on many friends But should the weather change, soon they will turn to dust Nights, all those summer nights The feeling that was there may not come back again Lives, we lead such different lives What's holding us together grows weaker with each year I hear you calling Where did you go? Things that hold most beauty in this world Are those I can no longer take for granted Rain, oh how we need the rain As we return to dust, the moving finger writes I love to ride the ocean waves, but life will never be the same You're in my life for all our years apart You're in the blood that's flowing through my heart ------------------------------ Subject: inlay cards From: Chris Lawless Date: Wed, 11 Jul 2001 20:33:20 -0400 >Can anybody send me any files they have for the CD inlays for the Digest CDs, >bootlegs, pirates? From: David Cousins Date: Thu, 12 Jul 2001 10:57:34 +0200 Wow! Just checked the November tour dates on the website and I can hardly believe my eyes. Spalding? That's where I grew up and lived until I came to Estonia, and my parents still live there. I've still never seen L42 or any of the guys live, so I guess I'd better start saving up for an air ticket already. Warning to Mark King if he happens to be reading this - the people of Spalding are apathetic, to put it mildly. But I'll be there so please come anyway. And I can recommend Spalding for all you Dutch Digesters as the district of Lincolnshire that it's in is called South Holland. You'll find it quite a home from home. It's really flat there with so much land reclaimed from the sea, and the one thing Spalding is famous for is its tulips. And there are quite a lot of Dutch people living there. So now you know! Somewhat excited (and that doesn't happen often for someone from Spalding), David
