It really made think about the old days (1980-1983) In one word:......... I don't think I can find words. Beezer (dick) ------------------------------ Subject: TRIBUTE CONCERT + ALBUM From: l.godderidge @ talk21.com Date: Sun, 17 Jun 2001 23:43:13 +0100 Hi there everyone, Recently I was talking with one of the Digesters about the possibility of a Level 42 tribute album being made and we suggested various artists that could be featured on the album, famous names from the eighties that get a mention on here from time to time. I was racking my brains one night and thought to myself wouldn't it be good if the band did a one off concert at a big venue say Birmingham NEC or NIA. It would give those fans who were unable to see them live a treat and everyone else a night to remember. Or what about An Audience With.... featuring the band or just Mark on his own answering questions about their career to a celebrity audience. Anyway feel free to make suggestions about either the album, concert or Audience With..... programme as I'd interested to put hear what you have to say on the very subject. Let's face it there is an 80's revival on at the moment and it's been seven years since they split which is too long in my book. Are you now one >of these US haters who keep popping up on the digest? How dare you! The only Americans I hate are those who prounounce nuclear as nucular (recently saw a Simpsons episode in which Marge pronounced foliage as foilage, only to be corrected by Lisa. "I know!" she replied, "Jeez, you don’t have to be a nucular scientist to know how to pronounce foilage!") and who use the word alternate when they mean alternative. And possibly those who ignore me when I state "some of you will know that my esteem for Americans has risen steadily since I joined this list". But here, just to prove that it’s not an anti-American thing, is a question I received about an auction from another country altogether: "The discription on this item states that the item is a 12" EP. I am not exactly sure what that is. CAn you please explain. Is it a CD?" Anyway, how could anybody truly hate Americans so long as the French exist? I would never do that, with the obvious and justifiable exception of London. >Oh, and Andrew, have you ever been to New York City? Alas no, if you would care to send me a ticket I will not only give you my assessment but also break the habit of a lifetime and meet a Digester face to face. As for how it would shape up against London hard to say, but it does have the head start of not being full of Londoners. >Subject: Level 42 -- Live at Enschede (1991) Free to a good home! >From: "John Shuford" > >PS: The Digest has been hilarious lately. Keep it up! The ghost of Sid James is pounding at my door, but I shall resist.
