From: l.godderidge @ talk21.com Date: Sun, 3 Jun 2001 14:04:09 +0100 Hi everyone, Can somebody please help me to answer this query? Did Boon ever play a Fender Stratocaster as most of the greats namely Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Chris Rea, Jimi Hendrix and Hank Marvin (who incidentally owned the first ever imported Fender Stratocaster from America that was custom made) did play one. I was wandering if Boon was indeed a member of this prestigious club. If any of you out there can answer this. I'd love to here from you. Cheers Lesley ------------------------------ Subject: Freedom of speech From: Don Z Date: Sun, 3 Jun 2001 12:48:22 -0700 (PDT) > Please don't let us get into the Gary v Phil debate > again. The only posts I object to are those like this one. Someone doesn't want discussion and debate in a forum which was established for that very purpose. This is not the Christian Science Reading Room, ok? It is a place for people to voice their opinions and then defend them. > We have already established that they are both > excellent drummers - and very different! Clearly, by the post I was responding to, that has not been established. Someone said Gary was "no good", which to me is a gauntlet thrown. But that's exactly why this Digest exists, so get over it. Somehow, when it said 'special industry promo Ad' I thought it must be some large advertising promo, like you get in tube stations; no, it's just torn out of a magazine. And how they get the perspective phtograph of an A4 sheet I'll never know.
