Dear Friends,
Well...our bud Mikey has just completed his operation, and is in great
spirits for the most part. Seems his gallbladder didn't want to be his
friend anymore, and began to reject him. So, out it came, and Mikey's
doing good. I saw him while I was at work in the hospital yesterday.
He looked good, and relatively pleased that the thing was out. I know I
should have startled him with something witty like: "Your sex change
was a success!," or "They couldn't get it all out, so they're in for
another look next week." Anyhow, I just couldn't bring myself to it.
So, if anyone would mind, I'm sure he would appreciate any words of
encouragement. Please drop him a note when you can -- or a virtual
card for that matter.
Here's his address: mailto:michael.p @ mainstreettravel.com
Thanks everyone!
Regards,
~Sean

Please don't let us get into the Gary v Phil debate again.
We have already established that they are both excellent drummers - and very
different!

Ladies & Gentlemen, the one and only spanish singer Raphael has released a
new duets CD with versions of songs, amongs them "Lessons in Love" by our
favourite band... This is NO good news at all! I don't know if you've heard
about him (lucky you if you haven't!) but I can only say that it must be...
terrible! I haven't heard it yet but a friend of mine is going to burn me a
copy... Oohhh, I can't wait for it! My friend has described it as
unbeliavable (and pathethic as well)
He sings it in spanish with someone called Caprice (no idea) and it seems
that he literally destroys the original song... I guess none of L42 have
something to do with it (I'm sure they would have banned it)
I don't mean to sound so radical against it but Raphael is my most hated
spanish singer of all times!! More than Julio Iglesias who compared to him
sounds fantastic... He is more a folklorical type of singer (and he is
terrible singing in english so I guess that it could have been worse...).
The record is called "Maldito Raphael" ("Damned Raphael"... ha ha, no doubt
about it...) and the record label's website is www.emimusicspain.com (if
anyone wants to check it, I don't know if there's any info)
Well, you'll be informed as soon as I listen to it!
Take Care!!

Just a quick note out to you G.Husband/A.Holdsworth fans, I'm writing this
while listening to Garys just released CD "The Things I See: Interpretations
Of The Music Of Allan Holdsworth". A beautiful sounding piano solo CD.
Yes, You read it right, a PIANO solo CD. Gary is not only a monster talent
behind the drum kit but quite the accomplished piano player. Personal
favorite off the disc, "Devil Take The Hindmost".
KUDOS to Gary on another project well done!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have Pat Flanagan's Level 42 screensaver that I could get a copy
of for my personal use?
It seems from the archives that this is "the best" one and the link in one
of the postings is dead.
I did ask Pat and he doesn't have it.
I would really appreciate getting a copy. Thanks!

Winston, I really like The Lighthouse Family. And I think the fact that they
stop ships crashing onto rocks in the dark is an added safety bonus.
