I heard talking about Mark King but it was about a snooker-celebrity.I'm sure there are lots of people with the same name. It was strange to see that guy with the same name when you only know 'Mark king of Level42'. Sounds like a good time to plug the new, Level 42, performance-enhancing contraceptive, "Unreached Levels"... ------------------------------ Subject: Thank You Sean Green! From: "Sherry Nuckels" Date: Tue, 8 May 2001 06:58:28 -0700 Hey Y'all, Just wanted to give props to Sean Green for putting together such a great compilation (Level 42 "Unreleased and More",). I got my copy from him yesterday (#3/50). I hadn't heard "Instrumental 1-3", classic stuff! Thanks Sean! LIAPW, Jason Sherry Nuckels:-) P.S. Be sure to get "The Best of Go West Live at the NEC", currently available at: www.townsend.co.uk . ------------------------------ Subject: Compilation albums! From: "ztavendl" Date: Tue, 8 May 2001 15:12:17 +0100 Ahh great the compilation albums! I haven't posted for a while, but ages and ages ago I posted the contents of my two beloved minidiscs and I bloody deleted the tracklistings. I was concerned at the lack of interest when people didnt reply to the best live recordings compilation, so heres my favourites (I also understand that not everybody on the digest has access to or heard of any live recordings) (not in any order of preference) 1. World Machine: Live at wembley 1986 (video) 2. 88: Paris Theatre 1981 3. Love meeting love: Meerpal Dronten 1981 4. Bass solo: (Veronicas Rocknight) Ahoy Rotterdam 5. Almost There, Turn it on, Mr Pink and 88 off "Physical Presence" 6. Pursuit of accidents: Hammersmith Odeon 1983 7. Pharoahs dream: Birmingham 1983 8. Are you hearing what I hear: Luik Belguim 1985 (amazing) 9. Love Games: Enchede Netherlands 1991 (original piano solo on the bridge section) 10. Fashion Fever: Paradise club 1987 (the funniest ending!) 11. Micro Kid: Live at Wembley 1986 (taken out of the video!) 12. One in a Million: Royal Albert Hall (the last concert with a lovely ending!) 13. I want eyes: Live at Wembley 1986 (also taken off the video!) 14. The chinese way: Enchede Netherlands 1991 I could go on for a bit, but these are all worth a listen as I think that the above represents the best of the musicianship from Level 42!
