Wow, a kosher Level 42 track...must look up in my dictionary. >Does anyone know where Annie has her shop or what it's called? I know it's >in Edinburgh (I live just outside Edinburgh) but I don't know where. Cool! As some of you might know, I'm moving to Edinburgh this summer, at least for a while, to see if I can actually live there. ;) Would be nice to know if there's any L42 fans there. :) Maybe we can meet up and have a drink or something. And the shop sounds very interesting! :) Stardream42/ Jennix ------------------------------ Subject: knotts berry farm From: Bowman Brian 2Lt 442 FW/PA Date: Wed, 25 Apr 2001 08:11:45 -0500 Recent posts: > So if you're ever in Southern California and visit > Knotts Berry Farm, Ask any entertainment tech to > call for Tech 42 and you'll get the sun burnt limey > known as Adz.... ME :-) Knotts Berry Farm? Sounds like the perfect spot for a Levelfest, with marathon roller-coaster rides arranged by Mr. Hankinson! What do ya say to 42 consecutive laps on The Ghostrider, gang? Who's in? Oh sure, now that I've moved from So. Calif. ... we'll have a fest at Knotts ... Seriously, Knotts is a fun amusement park that's not too big ... our kids loved it so much we took them twice in the year we lived in Riverside (last year) ... There are few better views of greater LA than on top of Knotts Supreme Scream ... Hope you're all well and happy. I just read this License [1], and find it a bit interesting except for one thing or two, I'd like to have more opinion about it because my judgement may be oriented by some gnu/pingouin software community thing ;). I love doing that because it is interesting to see threads from start to finish. I was laughing out loud at a number of the posts - you guys are wittier than you think. * I know this is going way back, but I love Yes! I was likely the only black chick in my high school that not only owned 90125, but played it ad nauseum. Hold On was one of my favorite songs for a long time. * Charl, thanks for giving Mike my message. It means a lot to me that he responded. * Could the person who e-mailed the Marcus Miller England tour dates e-mail me privately with the NYC date and venue [if you have it]? We had a Levelfest around a Marcus Miller gig three years ago, and it can be done again [Greg? Winman? Funky T?] * Any Americans: that new show about the bands going around the country and doing head to head gigs [the name escapes me] features a digester! Dar4Bass is the bassist for the Josh Doddie [sp?] band and they are fantastic - they do a version of George Michael's Freedom that gives you goose bumps. Root for them to win! * roc51 @ hotmail.com, you were joking, right? You sent an e-mail looking for Sydney digesters THE DAY AFTER we met for the first ever Ozfest. If you weren't joking, its too bad because we had a blast. * Speaking of which, all you Aussies: THANK YOU!!! I had the time of my life in Sydney, and would move there tomorrow. Sydney is a great combination of NYC, San Francisco and London with phenomenal beaches and great people. Mike Bartlett really put himself out there by squiring me around for three full days. I don't think I could have done more in that time even if I wanted to! Singing with Rebecca slapping away next to me was fantastic. BTW, hate to have a go at the male egos on the digest, but I have heard a lot of you bassists at various Levelfests over the years and she kills all of you hands down. Watching her do Mr. Pink on video was like hearing Mark play it. If any of you ever make it over to Sydney look these folks up - they will definitely take care of you. Later y'all...
