That's a bit strong - I prefer complete c*nt. --------------------------------------------------------------- Using a Macintosh? From: "NOLES, Jeremy, FM" Date: Fri, 20 Apr 2001 14:06:54 +0100 In yesterday's London "Metro" newspaper (I use the term loosely), there was a transcript of an interview with Donny Osmond. One of the questions was, what's on your CD player at the moment? His answer: "Bryan Knight. Of course I always love to go back to my staples Paul Simon and Level 42." If Donny Osmond is a fan (by whatever definition you choose to use) I'm really not too sure if I want to be one any more (if indeed I am). I'm still scarred by the memory of my infatuated older sister screaming at the TV while he sang Puppy Love back in the 70s. I havent had any plastic surgery YET... LimitsToMySanity, could you explain how getting MK to sign across your boobs would mess up your hair? Assuming you are a female, it sounds like it could be waxing or electrolysis you need rather than plastic surgery! Not to ever contradict anything that another digester would put on the digest, but I do have it on good authority (finger against nose) that MARK (on a solo basis) is indeed 'planning' to tour again this fall (mainly October-November). Are you sick of the "(" ")"yet? Also, I didn't realize that Level 42 had gotten back together and played Haunted House, since when did Mark not become apart of Level 42, have the other voted him out, was his bass playing below par? Mikey PS: For the newer digest members, I have been on this list since 1996, and if it one thing I have learned about this forum is that when someone says that a track is not available, it is....when they say that he is not touring, he is....Mike Lindup is gay, he isn't....see the trend. Things can change so quickly, as the people responsible for making these decisions are the band members themselves, and due to our 'place' we are generally the last to know the 'truth'. If you can ignore the jockeying for top spot of Level42-dom knowledge and influence, you will find the answers/items that you are looking for, so be patient when you post something on the digest and people do not respond, some people (unlike me) DON 'T read the digest daily and read all of them on the weekends, they have a life that doesn't involve the centre of the universe being Level 42, (was that an oxymoron?) ------------------------------ Subject: Tomcats and Frank From: Winston Walker Date: Fri, 20 Apr 2001 10:37:31 -0400 David, good point on the new Roland Orzabal CD, it's been getting major play at my home and job. I really enjoy the disc, and am personally excited about him working with Curt again. I think their best TFF stuff was with Curt. In fact, I really enjoyed Curt's solo album, although i read Curt didn't care for it, and it probably sold 20 copies. The other CD in heavy rotation at my house is the new Nik Kershaw album, 'To Be Frank'. Another brilliant effort from a very underrated singer/songwriter. http://www.kershaw.net/tobefrank/ Tcoy, Winston ------------------------------ Subject: Birthday From: Eric Gustavson Date: Fri, 20 Apr 2001 10:24:05 -0700 (PDT) How do we email Mark for his birthday? Do we mail to the digest, or is there a direct address? Cheers, Eric __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! From BBC News: http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/uk_politics/newsid_1287000/1287516.stm "Labour's election campaign is to be accompanied by the sounds of pop band Lighthouse Family. The band's hit, Lifted, will be used as the party's theme tune in the same way as D:Ream's Things Can Only Get Better in 1997......" But where did it come from?? I thought this was one of the lost tracks that us common folk didn't have access to. Loz, you seem to have known about this one; are you holding out on us? And who is responsible for leaking it out to Napster? Whoever did it-------Thanks! It is one of those songs that you either love or hate, and most people I know hate it. I will agree with him that 'The Hurting' has got to be their best, however. Sorry for the lack of L42 content - although I think that whoever wants to send MK anything, just putting 'Mark King, IOW' would probably suffice, as he is the most famous person on the Island. While I am on, I would like to send fellow digester and good friend of mine Bruce O'Dowd all good wishes for Monday 23rd April, when he goes into hospital AGAIN for surgery on his throat - lots of love to you, mate. Take care of yourself also, Lozzie xxxx
