From: JandSNuckels @ webtv.net (Jason & Sherry Nuckels) Date: Sat, 1 Jul 2000 08:23:51 -0700 (PDT) Hey y'all, Just thought I'd add to some stuff recently discussed on the digest... August 26th for the Polydor re-issues! I'll be sure to take that day off from work so I can go to Tower Records, buy them all in one pop and listen to them all day!! :-) A few years ago, Manu Katche did a Japan-only solo-CD, featuring some of the musicians found on "Changes". Does anyone out there have this? I'd love a CDR copy... Go West (remember them?) will be releasing a live album on September 4th. It's from their final show at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1993, and it'll include a brand new studio cut! :-) (Thanks to MovingWestward, com, Go West's official website)... If any of you have a chance to see Tower Of Power live, check these guys out. I see them every time they come to the Bay Area. After 32 years together, these guys remain as tight as a clenched fist. Count me in as a Nik Kershaw Nutter. "The Works" from 1989 is on my personal Top Ten list of all-time favorite albums. I'm on the "Wounded Knee" mailing list, as well as a few other people from this digest. If anyone here likes Mr. Mister, you've GOT to check this unofficial website out: www.users.skynet.be/sky67891/ Anyone who wants to buy their own copy of Curiosity's 1993 Japan-Only can get it at: www.GEMM.com It turns out that it's recently been re-issued in Japan and includes bonus tracks. Finally, I wanna send a big Bay Area shout-out to Mr. Winston Walker for being such a good trader with me. You're the man, Win! LIAPW, Jason (and Sherry) Nuckels :-) ------------------------------ Subject: A few points to raise From: "Alex Humphries" Date: Sat, 1 Jul 2000 19:23:24 +0100 Hi levelheads!! A few points I'd like to raise, first of all does any one know where the songs 'fire', 'Free your soul' 'Brazil '99' (or Brazil) and 'It's Happening [yeah yeah]'. Secondly, does any one know if the following songs have ever been performed live by Level 42: Theme to Mageret Autum(paradise is free) Woman Why are you leaving You can't blame Louis Standing in the light The machine stops. And finally I'd just like to ask, would any body be able to help me with real streaming audio (not video). Thanks. ------------------------------ Subject: Record industry debate revisited From: DonZipf @ aol.com Date: Sat, 1 Jul 2000 19:50:52 EDT I can't say I'm a huge fan of Courtney Love, but she's making a good case about the record industry in an article at... http://www.salon.com/tech/feature/2000/06/14/love/index.html ------------------------------ Subject: craig's vacation...
