Either this stuff has been boiling up for some months - or it's just that seasonable affected disorder we all apparently suffer from. I thought I'd do my best at a positive gesture. I've been having a clear out of stuff as well and discovered some radio promo copies of the Mark King stuff (extras from my old radio station). So if you're a needy fan who hasn't managed to get hold of: 1. The One Man CD album 2. The Bitter Moon CD single ...better send me an 'e' quick. I'm not asking for any money. It's just I'm not enough of a completist to own more than one copy of anything! Only proviso being that you are a balanced, non-vindictive level 42 nutter. Oh. Any Dublin levelheads on the digest? I'm in town at the end of March if anybody is about. ------------------------------ Subject: www.level42.com - UPDATED From: "Morgan42" Date: Sun, 5 Mar 2000 15:44:27 +0100 Hi all, The gallery is finally open. I will add more pictures asap. Enjoy ! Morgan. www.level42.com ------------------------------ Subject: Pete, but not that one From: "Pete Willis" Date: Sun, 5 Mar 2000 17:09:43 -0000 Saw the names of those who posted nasty stuff regarding Mrs.P. Just wanted to say I occasionally post on here as Pete, BUT I'm not that Pete! From my contact with Lisa she has been really friendly and took her own time out near Christmas to sort out an Unreached Levels set for me, very kind indeed. Loz, is issue 4 of Word Machine being done, if so When? Thanks PETE ------------------------------ Subject: http://www.boongould.com From: Lars-Ove Larsson Date: Sun, 5 Mar 2000 19:38:11 +0100 Ok, I've finally done the right thing and changed the url to my Boon Gould tribute site to http://www.boongould.com It's still the same site and for a while longer the old url will still be valid. Of course, if Boon himself would like to use this domain name for something else, I'd gladly give it up, but until then - enjoy!! If anyone has any contact with Boon and could let him know of the site I'd be eternally grateful. It would be really nice to be able to add some current info to it. There will be updates on the site - soon. I promise. BTW, Norman vdW, Billy Liesegang produces his own homepage (it shows, the design stinks), so unless he makes it up as he goes along the stuff on there is surely true. He is also mentioned in the 'Definitive Biography' (available from L()Z), although not in altogether flattering words. I'm looking to get hold of issues 6 onwards - can anyone out there help ? I've ordered the Millennium CD and I'll let you know what its like when I receive it; I'll even put scans of it on my website (address below).... Has anyone got a recording of the Mike Lindup concerts ....were they any good ???? Finally, staying with web sites, how do you get your web site registered with the search engines, so when someone types in L42 , your web site gets listed ? Answers on a postcard please.... I visited your site many times and it was a good source of information and it seemed to be getting better and better with every visit. Do not give up, I have met you at the shows for many years and know that you are one of a few hard-core Level 42 fans left that continue to follow members of the band who are still performing today. All the best!!! Raymond Persaud ------------------------------ Subject: Mrs Pink From: "Richard Maybury" Date: Sun, 5 Mar 2000 21:00:51 -0000 Howdy Folks again !!! I've just been catching up with the digest tonight and what shocking news regarding Mrs Pink !! Hey don't go Mrs Pink - you can't let that person get their satisfaction!!!! On a different note, can anyone confirm the small setlist played by Mike at his recent gig ? Till the sun goes down.... Richard Maybury email : maybury @ nildram.co.uk web: www.maybury.nildram.co.uk ------------------------------ Subject: From: "Jose Planken" Date: Sun, 5 Mar 2000 21:04:46 -0000 Hi Level-lovers, First of all, this is the first message of me since the digest is back up and I'd just like to say; what a relief and how cool it is to have you all back on my screen again!!! Second, I cannot believe the whole Lisa-thing. I can't believe we are dealing with such a Complete and Utter Bastard on the digest. Very grown up of Lisa too, not even to expose him. Lisa, don't let him beat you, mate. You are better than that! And I'm sure this person gets what's coming to him/her(?) Life has a funny way of putting things right like that. Till next time, stay Funky! Jose ------------------------------ Subject: Joe Daflos. From: "Sarah Biles" Date: Sun, 05 Mar 2000 21:27:40 GMT Just a bit of news,Joe Daflos reopens tonight under the same name. Is Mark still apart of it or has he definitely sold it..?. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Subject: www.mrspink.co.uk From: ElSavannah @ aol.com Date: Sun, 5 Mar 2000 19:22:40 EST Hello everybody It is with a huge amount of relief :-) and pleasure that I can annouce to you all that www.mrspink.co.uk is back online as of now. Thanks to Russ Paton for taking over the duties of hosting from now and the site is now happily settled at thumbs.org.! There are a few little things missing in the way of pictures and the music etc, but give me a few days and all this will be sorted out - Feel free to contribute anything if you guys want (especially for my digest section which was a mjaor casualty- so I need pictures of all you again!!!!!!! (especialy the nightfly)) Thankyou also to all of you who sent me messages of support over the past few days, they were a great comfort in a time of unpleasantness and were the difference in me staying on the digest. I know now that I have far more friends than enemies and besides, having given it some thought i think i would miss you all too much! And as a byline - the person who posted all those messages on the bulletin board that were so offensive last week....... I KNOW YOUR REAL IDENTITY. Again I am not going to name them but lets just say I want to say to them that if that is the best you can do with your sick little mind then I suggest it be you that goes away with your tail between your legs an thinks about things. Mrspink is back to stay - You lose mate - game over. I want to go on record as saying the person responsible is the female of the species (and yes it's true - they are deadlier than the male!) All the best to all my friends on the digest and beyond. Now, where were we? - Lisa 'Mrs Pink' ------------------------------ Subject: The Wolf dies, the sheep lives and we are a happy group. From: "Brian Flint" Date: Sun, 05 Mar 2000 22:25:56 PST I'm still somewhat new to the digest and since I don't know Lisa very well it's hard to make any strong arguments. I'll I can do is remind folks that this is the internet and not the "real" world. For anyone to unrightfully disparridge (spelling?) someone especially on a "novel" passtime such as this digest or any websites pay homage to a common facination is pure childishness. We all have different jobs, different lives, we tune in here to share stories, poke fun at each other, exchange memorabilia, etc. So whoever did whatever they did to take lisa from us should really look at their life and figure out what is important. Lisa, I think we've shown that what happened to you is a singular action supported by none. Please let us help and please rejoin our daily rants and raves and put downs and teasing. I think that most will agree we all truly like eachother and have fun here. Okay, so I've shown my hand that I'm not an evil doer that truly wishes to piss people off. But if it will help Lisa know that we care, then so be it. That's all for know. Brian ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
