It's nice to be informed, isn't it? Personally I shan't be having a proper holiday this year, although possibly a day trip to the seaside in late August. I look forward to reading everybody else's plans here in the coming days. I wondered if their were any views on if any of the Level 42 chaps would/could ever do their solo stuff at such a festival ? and, if so, how do you think they would go down ? Personally, I think they would go down really well, but am I wrong ? Is this any good > and what is the name of the album ? That's the James Taylor Quartet (no relation) and the album is Creation. It is a good album, but I'd start out with In the Hand of the Inevitable (I much prefer that one). ------------------------------ Subject: LOZ - you still alive? It only took 5 days to reach Indianapolis IN (US) . I ordered them on 6-20 and received them on 6-26 and that includes Sat and Sun. I had pulled out of the driveway and stopped at the mailbox and there they were along with my (DTS surround encoded) copies of the Ohio Players Honey and Fire CDs. But there was a big problem with TRASH the CD-R would not read well in my car's CD player. I am not worried because I should be able to read it with my CD burner and make another (personal) copy. Did anyone else have problems with playback? ------------------------------ Subject: Lindup -CHANGES CD on e-bay From: MScore0696 @ aol.com Date: Mon, 26 Jun 2000 18:15:52 EDT Hey Levelheads, If anyone is interested, Mike Lindup "Changes" CD is currently on eBay. ------------------------------ Subject: Surprisingly, level 42. From: Ken Hayes Date: Mon, 26 Jun 2000 20:09:52 -0400 (EDT) A few thing's I'm pondering on recently. I've read here that a member of 'Take That (you bounder)' was a l42 fan (Jason Orange??). Anyway, I noticed that in the song 'Back for good' after the line "...And we'll be together, this time it's forever" the boy's sing "Forevveerrr Noww" . Could this be the l42 influence? The take that song came out at least a year after l42's album. Wasn't the idea for the 'Something about you' video great! Each of the band members real life characters were portrayed , showing us Mike as the sensitive, classically trained musician , Phil as the temper mental artist, Boon as the sports car lover living in a Stately home, and Mark as..emm... a clown...ANYWAY!, moving swiftly onwards I would love to hear L42 doing a version of Elvis Costello: Every day I write the book. Will they be available here in the states and if so, will they be re-issuing the complete (ie 2 disc) Physical Presence album. I have been trying to find it here but I've only seen the single disc version. Mike Dayton, Oh USA
