While I was up there, I found some promo Level 42 stuff from when I was an intern at Polygram in the late 80s. I can't bear to part with my blue mug that was sent to radio station programmers (worldmachine logo on the side and it reads "For an instant hit, just add Hot Water"), but I have two other things for sale, which I threw on to eBay and figured folks here might be interested in: One auction (#272409814) is for 14 different 8x10 glossy photos of the guys, all different, in a RITF promo folder. Group photos, individual photos, MK with a bass, lots more--you can see in the auction page. The other auction (#272414825) is for 15 sheets of RITF promo stationary, A4-sized. The promo people used it for notes to the media when they sent out press kits and stuff. I grabbed a sheaf of it and used a lot of it once upon a time. Hopefully some of you will give these things a good home--the auctions end on March 6. Clive ------------------------------ Subject: Blue GB (cont.) From: DonZipf @ aol.com Date: Sat, 4 Mar 2000 10:13:00 EST > Bernie suggested to take the bass by myself , and to play a little on it > (Bernie took the pic when I'm holding the blue one). Willem, you are the lucky one then! Your picture at http://home.planet.nl/~veen0596/wiebenik.html is indeed Mark's blue GB. But other folks who thought they posed with that bass on Tuesday night, should compare their photos with yours, and they will see that the two are not the same bass. The most obvious difference is the fingerboard. Peace - Z. ------------------------------ Subject: Mrs Pink / Phil Gould From: "Martin T. Best" Date: Fri, 3 Mar 2000 18:50:22 -0000 Mrs Pink - only last night I tried your site for the first time but it was n/a. If you'd like some of my spare web space, I'd gladly donate it. If enough people got together we could all host a little bit of the one site. (er, in theory - someone's bound to tell me I'm an idiot and it can't be done...) Thanks to those with Phil news. I hope he doesn't abandon his sticks entirely in favour of his camera. I've got photos of him playing at a Drumland Drum Day in Dartford (assonance, or what!) on 1st April 1990, where he shared the bill with Steve White and Charly Antolini. He played his pink Tama kit (sniff...), with a couple of early DDrums (he used to play Simmons electronics). If anyone happened to be there and has, or knows of, a recording I'd be very interested. I can't remember what he played to, but I don't recall it being sequenced L42. If enough interest is shown, I'll get the pics scanned and put on my site. Okay, that's me done. Back to the interesting stuff... Regards, Martin. ------------------------------ Subject: For Sale From: "JULIAN TANNER" Date: Sat, 04 Mar 2000 19:55:12 GMT For Sale POSPA 790 Double A Side a.
