Now: I am also planning a BIG surprise for the event. I have already started planning for it. No-one exept me will know about it till the 18th September!!! This will be a REAL treat for all Level 42 freaks. Trust Me! (T2-fashion) Also, all other MIDI guys, fire up yer MIDI synths 'coz some new MIDI files coming out real soon. I have also come up with a new technique. This time, for each individual Level 42 MIDI song, I will write a SEPERATE MIDI file specifically for each synth class. So there will be a MIDI file version for SB AWE32/64 cards, Yamaha XG modules, Roland GS modules, Software Synths, even for plain ol' FM OPL3 synths. So, you just choose the one you have, and viola, the file will sound perfect on YOUR specific MIDI setup!! (this has been a problem to some extent in the past - but now, no more!) :-) I will also be making the Cakewalk 7.0 .wrk files available for anyone interested in editing the files, etc. More details later. If you have any additional development ideas / comments for my MIDI files, or you want to chat about MIDI / whatever, or you want to ask some MIDI Q's, drop me a line anytime!!!!! I have read that a survey done in the USA shows an exploding growth of MIDI studio's and sound applications since 1998. So if you are getting into MIDI, and consider writing Level stuff, chat to me! :-) Byees, Charl oooo oo Mr. Charl Mocke ISIS Information Systems (Pty.) Ltd. I was watching satellite channel 'Granada Plus' yesterday - a repeat of the "Brian Conely Show" He introduced Level42 as his "favourite band" They came on and sang live 'Love in a Peaceful World' I'll stream it on my home page - as soon as I get it up and running. PS just received a copy of AYGB & PP - belated congratulations to all involved. ------------------------------ Subject: MK back in Germany From: grund @ zeiss.de Date: 07 Jun 1999 14:11:39 +0200 >Subject: MK live in Saarbrucken >From: lol @ slr.se >Date: Mon, 7 Jun 1999 11:10:14 +0200 > >Any of you digesters who live near Saarbrucken in Germany will be lucky on 25th > of July ... >http://www.1000jahre.saarbruecken.de/kalender/juli/2307.htm >Lars Wow! Good news! Thanx a lot Lars! This is going to take a lot of my mind, 'cos I've been trying to figure out how to get a business trip to Denmark in order to see our hero there. Saarbrucken I can manage on my own budget. (I'd have loved to meet you Danes though, oh well ...) Now I wonder, hardly anybody from Germany ever writes anything to the digest although apparently, according to Eric's statistics, there are several receivers, so this is your chance, let's hear from you. I'm definitely going to be in Saarbrucken on the 25th of July and would be glad to meet any other digesters there too! 'til then, tc y'all Hans Grund ------------------------------ Subject: Well Well From: Brian Flint Date: Mon, 07 Jun 1999 09:00:27 PDT Good, I seem to have awaken you from your 42 hypnosis. Enough to get a rise out of you at least. For tose of you who are TURLY being goofy with the 42 thing, I applaud thee. But beware, because I am not convinced everyone is, deep down inside, being goofy. You know who you are.......be careful, it can suck you up. For Instance. 42: Twice that is 84. The year I frist started listening to L42 Half 42 is 21, the age I was legally able to drink myself into a stupor, in this country. One third of 42 is 14, the age I was in 1984 (See above) Half of 14 is 7....todays date. 7 times 4 is 28 (my age now) subtract 7, 21, the day of the month I was born. 42: My IQ about the time I referenced Jamestown instead of Jonestown. But didn't the people of Jamestown disappear? 42: About the number of times I've mentioned to my band that we should do a cover of the Wembley LIL. Anyway, glad to see some of you can stick up for yourselves. I'm almost sorry I offended some of you. Boredom in the work place tends to get the best of me. Just imagine an international incident be caused by two bored common workers in different countries over the internet. heh heh...Okay I'm going to slip back into my coffin now....buh bye Brian _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. From: BobC971 @ aol.com Date: Mon, 7 Jun 1999 13:10:31 EDT Howdy all, Haven't written in awhile (OK, years)...Just wanted to say it was a blast taking part, albeit sporadically, in the NYC Levelfest. Sorry I missed Saturday night's jam.. But then, having seen the video, it probably would have been a bit humbling.... Also wanted to wish Jakko a Happy 41st Birthday today. TCOY, BobC ------------------------------ Subject: Re: US version of Album very looong Title / Nov concert From: Violatiana @ aol.com Date: Mon, 7 Jun 1999 14:08:48 EDT Hello all Just got my copy of the US version of Mark King's "One Man". Now just so they know who it is the Label is as follows no joke Level 42's Mark King One Man. I even saved the thing. Now I guess that we Americans are known for having short, unassociative memories, I mean why else put all of that onto one label? It is a cool looking cd with 1/2 the disc in dark purple/blue and the other with the sparkly stars and moon and such. It's sooo pretty 8^P So Winston this means that soon you will get back your UK version which I temporarily acquired as my very own Ok now, which Days are we as a group seeing Mark in November? Where exactly is the location and address? Ticketmaster number? Price? Good and fairly inexpensive places to kip nearby? Blame AOL it never keeps my mail very long, it's too full I guess. Well I could go on all day but you have places to go people to see so Ciao for now Tianna ------------------------------ Subject: RITFPlatinum From: "willem van der veen" Date: Tue, 8 Jun 1999 15:20:04 +0200 Hi y'all levelheads !
