I've tried both >ways, but I cannot get a good sound when I try slapping a G string >(Ooo-err). Not a dumb question at all my man !. I've noticed Mark has played it different ways live (and mimed) on the video clips I have. It is harder to slap the G string, but it can be done with a bit of practice. If you do have trouble hitting it clean Tom, just play the same notes up the neck on the lower strings. I think the studio version is slapped all the way thru, backed up by the synth bass underneath. Slapping the whole thing sounds more fluent, as it is hard to pop double notes whilst keeping the dynamics consistent. Hope this is of use / interest !! From: "Marie- Louise" Date: Sat, 08 May 1999 11:22:16 PDT Hello Levelheads..."old" & "new"-ones!!! I haven't posted a message for over an year now, so I guess many of you don't recognize me...I've been a silent, but energetic digester! In Februrary '99, my biggest dream came true...I saw MK perform life!!! It was fantastic, the absolutely best concert I've ever been to in my life. The gig was in Aarhus, Denmark, and the last out of four shows MK did in Denmark. Afterwards, I was a bit angry at myself, that I only went to one of the shows, now that I had had the chance to go to more than one..! But I made a promise to myself, that in the nearest future I would do anything possible to go to another MK gig, even if I should travell to the UK for it...! But then last week I found out that MK is coming to Denmark again in August, at the Skanderborg Festival!!! No words can describe, how thrilled I am about this! Now I'm wondering...is there any other DK-digester or digester at all heading for this years Skanderborg Festival?? Anybody I meet at the gig in Aarhus...Søren, Dorthe, Nikolaj??? Kenneth!?! (...we're only human after all!) TCOY Marie-Louise ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
