I have: > > > > Level Best > > Live at Wembly > > Fait Accomp (Hopefully soon) > > Guaranteed Live You need Family Of Five (there is an original and a reissue of this) and also the hardest video compilation to find, 'VideoSingles'. Crockford fully intends to release the 7 videos from (or 8 I cant remeber) There was 2 from My Fathers Shoes, slightly different and I think 2 for Guaranteed as well. SLightly different cuts, so it might be worthwhile waiting. You probably also dont have the promo videos for Are You Hearing, and Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind, I think they're may have been 1 for 'Weave Your Spell' Also, although I stand to be corrected on that count. It doesn't deconstruct the song as much and doesn't overdo it with electric claps and percussion. With the new re-mastered albums on the way and single re-releases, I hope there is a Something About You '98 with some decent new mixes. Perhaps William Orbit (Human League, Seal, Madonna) or The Brothers In Rythym (New Order) would refresh the song without losing it's character (they always do great remixes without destroying the original). Maybe Peter Lorimer could do a new version, or even Mark King (hasn't he dabbled in remixing?) I'm not sure The Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin, Underworld, or Utah Saints would be the right choice here. Other good 90's remakes of 80's classics have been done to The Human League (Don't You Want Me), Alphaville (Big In Japan), FGTH (Relax and Two Tribes), Icehouse (Hey Little Girl) and Pet Shop Boys (West End Girls). A good remix can add new life to a song that's over 15 years old. Let's hope if they DO remix any of the singles that they choose wisely and release some of them in the USA.. paul F ------------------------------ Subject: Re MP3s From: Alun Waterhouse Date: Sat, 21 Mar 1998 15:14:34 +0000 I also think that items not available anymore should be freely available as an MP3. cos we cant purchase them anyway, can we..... Alun ps Anyone know any decent L42 MP3 sites ? ------------------------------ Subject: Japansese Forever Nows From: Mike p3099 Date: Sat, 21 Mar 1998 17:42:06 EST Hi all, Just a quick question for those with the FN Japanese 20 bit reissue. I have recently gotten a copy of the reissue of FN directly from Japan. Although I can't read any japanses, I don't see anywhere that this new version is said to be 20-bit remastered. I haven't listened closely between the 2 yet but can anyone tell me if they have a copy that clearly states "20-Bit Remastered". My original Japanese copy was # BVCP-711 the new one that I recieved today is # BVCP-7463. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike ------------------------------ Subject: joe cocker and 43?
