Oh my God! What have I been missing... That funky bassguitar intro is soooooo looonng in that 12" version, blended with some disco flava. Who was that bassplayer? Andrew, Michael or some studio musician? Now you can all guess my real question: WHO HAS THIS 12" ???? I WANT IT !!! And about the LLLF-II (the LowLandsLevelFest Edition 2): It's gonna kick ass ! Let's burn the MFs!!! I hope Chicago won't spoil the fun, Dr. Dre! 2 Lolita: I have sent you your check back (ripped apart ;-) together with your stuff because a check costs $10 to cash in :-/ So once you get your Newyears surprise send me the cash back. (my package should have been arrived by now?) 2 Mike Petty - not forgotten ! 2 those who know who they are - P&P vol 1 kicks some serious butt... big shout to all ya guys'n gals Okay, gotta go! Dirkies waiting for some new releases of L42 (and I hope this message gets through, unlike my previous (last 2 weeks of Dec) ones - ERiC???????) ------------------------------ Subject: Novela Das Nove From: Pat Flanagan Date: Tue, 13 Jan 1998 09:15:23 -0600 >Speaking of Wally, are there any other fans of the song Novela das Nove? >That is my favorite by him. Awesome, awesome song. ____________________ PFPD -- newmedia marketing consulting a limited liability company PO Box 281, Granger, IN 46530-0281 v:616.663.2250 -- competitive business advantages through creative technology ------------------------------ Subject: Speaking of Echoes... From: "Inzo" Date: Tue, 13 Jan 1998 12:28:57 -0800 My thumb has recently started to do the vibrating thing so I was wondering if anyone had any Level 42 bass tab they could send me. Lately I've been downloading midis and get the notes from there.I would like to know the notes for Love games in particular. Last time I tried this some people said I should figure it out by ear. Well shut up, that's something I can't really do, I have problems figuring stuff out. I just want to play. Thanks ------------------------------ Subject: Re: Bassplayer & Rebecca Johnson From: Carl Mueller Date: Tue, 13 Jan 1998 21:29:22 -0800 Hey everybody, Carl again here. Thanks to all of you for the massive outpouring of congratulations!!! I'm going up to San Luis Obispo this weekend so between that and my job, I might be gone for a few days. We'll see. Now here comes a cool announcement about Rebecca Johnson: The website is mentioned in the Feb '98 issue of Bassplayer Magazine!!!! Page 26 in the WebWatch column!! Dawayne's tireless efforts to spread the word together with the Internet exposure are starting to pay off apparently, woo-hoo! Have a look, Vic Wooton playing a fretless bass banjo is on the cover. And if you haven't been to the website, check it out http://www.inland.net/~cmueller/rebecca/ I'll be doing some more updates after the weekend. The whole 9 to 5 thing really doesn't give you much time to do anything, if you'd like to sleep at least ;-] But anyway, thanks Henri and Zak for the coongrats! And thanks for the Rockpalast updates. Boy, a lot of memories there... I audio taped from the tv (Rockpalast I in dec '83), our tv had a DIN plug in the front that fit perfectly in the front; how times have changed. Now MAKE SURE that you tape the Are You Hearing encore!!!! In the original broadcast it came on after a commercial; it's not on the BobC tapes either. Rockpalast II is cool because it has Kouyate and Pursuit of Accidents. Now MAKE SURE you tape the cheesy interview after the show where the boys do their a cappella thing!!!! Anyway, all this talk about a California Levelfest, hmmmm, what a concept. Well, here's the question: who would consider themselves the (relatively) most central in the L.A. area? Jeff? Zak? Anybody, anybody? Well, there you have it. Talk to you next time Carl (& Laurel, who is in S.L.O. but you get the idea ;-])
