I saw some great live videotapes of our boys from 1983 etc. and as mentioned before by other LLLF visitors, stupid interviewquestions. Dirkies thanks for ...... you know what i mean !! It's great. Erik T. thanx for learning me how to slap and plug on a bass. Your gig with Arjen (doing big drumming on a little drumkit!!) was great, i have it on VHS tape (thanks Andre). Adios 555 amigos "Meatbubble thumb" Henri. ------------------------------ Subject: LA Levelfest From: angelina rogero Date: Thu, 5 Mar 1998 08:56:39 -0800 (PST) Hey Laurel and everyone, Yeah, as a LA Levelfest "veteran," I'm down for another one around March 21st. Wow, Laurel, your Spring Break is early! Let me know the time and place. As for Seth, well, he's no longer on the digest I believe (email problems) and I haven't talked to him in a long while (which is a 'whole 'nother' story). For the guy with the CD compilation with the drawing of the band on the cover, it is called a caricature. See y'all, Angel PS Yeah, who IS this Kelly Family, anyway? I thought it was a joke when I saw the infomercial. ------------------------------ Subject: Re: Level42 Digest V98 #54 From: Daniel Venema Date: Thu, 05 Mar 1998 22:35:38 +0100 Hi all, At 06:00 2-3-98 -0500, Erik Terheggen wrote: >Friends, > >I am cursed. Unfortunately I was not able to attend the 2nd LLLF at Andre's last weekend. I attended a conference on financial technology in San Diego, US. I thought about you guys though on saturday as I was driving up the Interstate 5 to LA. I went to Sunset Blvd and the rest of the sights (as I only had 1 day to myself I had to do drive-by's of all the sights). I did however stop at Tower Records on Sunset and there I found a copy of the Video "Live at Wembley". I'm not sure what the videotype is (PAL / SECAM) so I haven't yet tried / dared to play it on my VCR here at home. Anyway, Erik, I recorded Rockpalast 2 on video. We could work out something to get you a copy. Please, when you reply to the Digest, DO NOT ">-comment" the whole Digest in your reply. It irritates people and it wastes space!! :( ********************************************************************* NON-LEVEL 42 posting.... Re: Rick Astley We all know the mega-hit "Never gonna give you up" by Rick Astley back in 198?... I have often wondered about him and other hits he came out with... can anyone maybe give me some background info on Rick Astley? Albums? Web pages? I see Mark co-wrote songs with Rick some time in 1990. I also heard that Rick, much like Level 42 and George Micheal, had a tiff with his record company later at some stage in his career. Last night I heard a mix called "The Rick Astley Mega-mix" on radio and some darn fine tunes were included, though I only knew NGGYU. There was this other fine tune, it sounded something like: "Together forever...." G A C' E' D' B G E G D' C'... Anyone know the name of this tune? LEVEL 42 MIDI files posting.... I'm glad everyone mailed me back who got my Guaranteed MIDI file, glad you all like it!!. However, I'm still busy with To Be With You Again.Mid, it should be finished in a few days or so. Lolita, you asked for Guaranteed.Mid a few days ago, I'll send it to you now! Sorry for the delay. :) Bye for now, Charl [][][][] [][]
