Matthew ------------------------------ Subject: Broken Level From: "LOZ Green" Date: Mon, 2 Mar 1998 13:10:43 -0000 Hello friends, Has anyone got a broken copy of On The Level that they dont want. My copy seems to be working O.K. But Im desperate to get hold of one of these broken ones? Anyone? Haven't they like, disintegrated or something. Also, Im still looking for American long box CD's, the stakes are growing considerably, with the first person to mail me offering me one (apart from guaranteed) being made heir to the British throne as well as being offered a host of Level 42 goodies. Hurrah. Its not that I want anything bad to happen to the Queen, and I remain her most loyal and fainthful servant, but I havent ever seen a coronation, I wish she would abdicate sometime and let Charles take over, I think Im digressing off Level 42 after all what have Level 42 got to do with the monarchy. Well, its funny you should ask that, there's Mark KING, I have a photo of them with Princess Diana, They were house band as the Prince's Trust concerts, song lines: King for a day..........'I Dont Know Why' I cant think of anymore but Im sure there are lots. 'King Of The Isle!!!' Im going now....................Bye ..................LOZ ------------------------------ Subject: International Levelfest t-shirts From: Lolitaj Date: Mon, 2 Mar 1998 08:52:31 EST For anyone who is attending the International Levelfest, Winston, Jerry Rehn and I have a treat for you: we are making shirts commemorating the festivities. Here's the idea. The front is a picture of a large sun with the rays coming off it, and it will say Forever Now! International Levelfest '98. The back will have an adapted Forever Now logo with International Levelfest '98, and it will then list our cities as if it were a tour. 5/22 London 5/23 Isle of Wight 5/24 London 5/25 Bath They are going to be black - the sun pattern on the front looks awesome against a black background. I am fronting the money and everyone must pay me for their shirts when we get there. This is why I need to know who is even considering it, so that I make sure we have enough shirts made. Any extras will be sold to people on the Digest who cannot attend but want one. Lolita P.S. Dirk - still no CD. ------------------------------ Subject: Rare find in Charlotte NC From: "Camp, Matthew" Date: Mon, 2 Mar 1998 09:54:00 -0500 Had an incredible shocj the other day while browsing the used CD stores here in Charlotte NC the other day. As a dedicated fan I always look, usually to no effect, for some of the rarer singles, UK versions, picture discs of my favorite band. For the first time my efforts paid off; there in front of my eyes were the JAPANESE versions of World Machine and Running in the Family for $5 and $6 respectively. These were especially welcome as my copies of these two were the more recent American versions which were lacking some of the best tracks( Freedom Someday, Dream Crazy) It was especially neat to see the liner notes, etc. with Japanese text. Are these at all rare or interesting? I'd be interested to hear feedback. Oops, there's the boss.. ------------------------------ Subject: Kelly fam / Rockpalast on DAT again From: Mighty Maomoondog Date: Tue, 03 Mar 1998 00:12:29 +0100 Hey all - a while back someone from the States asked about the Kelly Family. Trust me on this, you don't want to know. They really suck. But then again, that's just my opinion... Hey Erik! I didn't record the second Rockpalasty gig on VHS, but I did record it on DAT... (now all I need is my own DAT recorder...) There was something else I wanted to say, but I forgot... so this'll be all! later! **** ** The Mighty Maomoondog mm95 @ worldonline.nl ------------------------------ Subject: local levelheads From: "J H" Date: Mon, 02 Mar 1998 15:40:57 PST i would be very interested/estatic to know if there are any level fans that live in my neck of the woods, and if so how 'bout throwing together one of these "fests"locally. i live here in sunny(right now) southern california in the san diego area.please someone let me know via my e-adress.thank you kindly. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Subject: Pins From: "Tracy, Jay" Date: Mon, 2 Mar 1998 21:33:48 -0500 (EST) Don, I don't think I responded to you on your original post about the Level 42 pins...so count me in for a couple of them. Also I would advise that you get $$ up front, I wouldn't want to see you get burnt. While I'm here: Marcus M's live album due out this week (supposedly), he's also on the cover of the new Bass Player magazine, short interview. Also a bass player that never seems to hit anyones favorite list: Alain Caron, has a new solo album. ..jay jtracy @ bics.bwh.harvard.edu Department of Anaesthesia Brigham & Women's Hospital ------------------------------ Subject: Recent band members pictures... From: "Charl Mocke" <9413693 @ narga.sun.ac.za> Organization: Stellenbosch University Date: Tue, 3 Mar 1998 09:38:10 +0200 Hi again everyone... :) > I miss the band incredibly~! Does anyone have an update or current photo's of > Mark King? If you have anything current, please send it to me. Hmm, interesting, I also wondered sometimes what Mark looks like these days. (As well as the other band members). Can anyone perhaps make the most recent picture of the band members available? Ta! Well, I should have been studying the weekend, but instead I spent the time more productively (!) and continued work on the To Be With You Again MIDI file. It should be finished by the end of the week or so. Anyone interested in having this MIDI file, or would like me to mail them the already finished Guaranteed MIDI file (Guaranteed.Mid) (I received quite some good and positive feedback from those who I sent it to - to all: it's a pleasure!) can mail me at: 9413693 @ narga.sun.ac.za I got the Early Tapes and Physical Presence CD's this weekend. Awesome!!!! I immediately fell in love with Autumn (it's autumn here right now!) Man what a song. And the bass solo at the beginning of Love Games on the PP CD is AWESOME!! Especially when Mark kicks into 6th gear and plays that bass at 500 mph. Wow!!!! Later, Charl .... ..
