Actually, I've been seeing it recently here and there at Best Buy and Circuit City. It's a reissued version, and they wanted about $20 for it. Let me know how you fare, and I'll keep my eyes open as well and let you know if I see a copy in the next week or two. -Will ------------------------------------------ Will Greer Empower Solutions LLC Denver, Colorado (303) 888-7154 Will_Greer @ empowersolutions.com http://www.empowersolutions.com ------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Subject: bassplayers From: "Stephan Haraldsson" Date: Wed, 11 Feb 1998 06:12:53 PST Heres my best bassplayer list: 1. From: Pat Flanagan Date: Wed, 11 Feb 1998 09:32:04 -0600 and pardon this off-topic post, but why is Paula Cole even ELIGIBLE for Best New Artist? This is her SECOND album (not to mention an earlier EP). I have nothing against her, her stuff is great, but did they change the rules? Last I knew, it had to be their FIRST album to qualify (and I think that's how it should be). By these rules, Jamiroquai should have been nominated, too. ____________________ PFPD -- newmedia marketing consulting a limited liability company PO Box 281, Granger, IN 46530-0281 v:616.663.2250 -- competitive business advantages through creative technology ------------------------------ Subject: The Pursuit of 'The Pursuit' From: winston.walker @ wathneltd.com Date: Wed, 11 Feb 1998 10:40:20 -0500 Hey Greg, have you tried any HMV stores in Manhattan? The second gig Rockpalast is rerunning was recorded october '83, not '84. Not that it matters..... >Who wants to help persuade Veronica to rebroadcast this show? I'm all for your plan, but I doubt we stand any chance. Still, if we don't try we're sure to not get it. Maybe we can work some plans out at the LLLLF (if you are coming that is.....?) I am pretty sure that this gig _was_ recorded in stereo (compared to the Rockpalast gigs, which are mono) because I have a clear memory of myself in front of the TV with my headphones on, which were connected to my tuner/amp. The sound of the concert was broadcasted on radio simultaniously, of course in full stereo, so the original recordings MAY be in stereo as well......(how time flies ! Stereo TV wasn't heard of in those days ! ! ! Yes folks, we gotta face it, we are getting old !) Talk Talk and Sade were on this Rocknight as well......Talk Talk were great too, Sade's singing isn't the best live (and that's an understaitment) besides her music doesn't "fit" in an arena like Ahoy' ! From: angelina rogero Date: Wed, 11 Feb 1998 12:55:56 -0800 (PST) Yeah, I know Mindi, the sax player Paul saw at the Candy Dulfer show. She played in a band my mom sang with. She is very talented and pretty, as Paul said. She's also very nice. Good to hear she is playing with Jonathan Butler. Where did you see this show Paul? In LA?
