Thanks, Brian ------------------------------ Subject: Videos From: Dave Mock Date: Sat, 26 Dec 1998 14:56:26 -0800 (PST) Hey, Micro-Kids: Hope everybody's stocking and stomachs were stuffed to the max and that you're all ready to work it off with three straight days of dancing to "The Sunbed Song" followed by "43" and "Learn To Say No." Can't wait until a store in NYC gets "Bitter Moon" (any tips, folks?). I heard a piece of it on Morgan's site and am impressed that Mark King's voice has not only held up but improved over the years. At 40, he can hit the high notes beautifully, and he uses the vocal instrument better than some of our stateside rockers did at that age (like Daryl Hall, a fave of mine who is either the best vocalist or the laziest depending on song or album.) Speaking of Daryl -- on the official Rock and Soul International website (www.hallandoates.com) there's a rare version of the "Say It Isn't So" video from 1983. It's Daryl and John mostly by themselves, done to the album version as contained on "Rock and Soul Part 1," while the vid we all know from "Say It Isn't So" featured their band and was done to the 12-inch Jellybean Benitez remix. Check it out and let me know. The Duke "...brotherhood is not so wild a dream as those who profit by postponing it pretend."
