Mark '.... love in a peaceful world....' ------------------------------ Subject: Where I was & Holiday wishes From: Chuck Roehm Date: Thu, 24 Dec 1998 16:07:13 +0000 Greetings! >Because they affected us and improved our lives in some way. They had >something to say and we related to them. So, where were you when you >first heard "Shape Shifter"? Ah, the memories of a new Level experience. I wish there were more to come. In the summer of 1988 I was on break from college, staying with my parents on Long Island, and I was at the height of building my Level collection. Over the previous two years I had been introduced to WM and RITF, so I was becoming a true fan. In '88, I had a summer job installing lawn sprinklers, and one of my co-workers was into fusion & funk, and he knew L42 and could relate to my tastes. He told me there were other releases out there, and that's when I picked up POA. As that summer went on, I collected the entire back catalogue. What a fantastic summer that was. Hard to believe it's been over 10 years ago. As I'm sure is the case with all of you, each album brings back memories and emotions of the times they were new to us. Nice thread. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you. That's me today, Chuck ------------------------------ Subject: new album From: Tom Trudell Date: Thu, 24 Dec 1998 09:00:35 -0700 New Mark King album - is there a good online source where I can get it? Wishing all my friends here a fantastic Christmas, love you all! Bassist - January Edition; not only is there a bit about Mark King in the beginning, but also a cool picture of the King advertising Elite Bass Strings on the inside back cover (full page!). (did you mention this Tom?) Keep in touch Bilal http://members.aol.com/bilal42 PS. Does anyone mind if I use any of the MK pics on the MK page for my web page? PPS - to the 'slow' Japanese writer, keep it coming, it is a delight to hear from you; also I think your part of the globe is a little under represented here! ------------------------------ Subject: one of many I guess...
