I too have recently picked it up. I don't regret the puchase, except for the horrible new cover artwork of Mike and a hungover-looking Mark. What on earth possessed them? The previous cover picture of Mark on stage was much better. As for the track list, it is interesting as it contains hits as well as other album tracks. This is the way that all "MS" discs are and it makes them perhaps more interesting than a plain old greatest-hits type collection. The "Master Series" were originally PolyGram France's mid-priced series of compilations for their large array of artists (incl. Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens, Gainsbourg and litterally hundreds more). Only within the last few years has the concept been extended to other non-French artists. We finally got our snow. Christmas may be white rather than brown after all! Season's greetings from Montréal! This is my first time ever responding to the digests received. I am a new member to the fan club. However, I've been a Levelhead forever! I'm looking to complete the entire Level 42 discography, but I'm having a difficult time finding many of their albums (i.e. Staring at the Sun, Standing in the Light, Guaranteed and others.) I look in Blockbusters and other music stores import sections, but to no avail. Can anyone help me with info. I'll be moving soon to the Red Lion, PA area, and I need some info maybe in that area, too. Thanks a million and long live the 42! Just wanted to let you know that I am now the Level 42 category editor for Netscape's newest project: http://directory.mozilla.org/ So... if you have a Level 42 site (or know anyone who does), drop by the site and submit it! I'll make sure all the sites get listed. Also, could you post this message to the Newsgroup, too? I can't since I don't receive it anymore. Thanks! Hope things are well. ============= Eric T. From: "Michael T Payne" Date: Mon, 21 Dec 1998 11:26:33 -0600 I just heard from a 'reliable' source that the next single is indeed, Love Wars, with a song off of OM (If I Had Something or Resupply) and 1-2 new tracks, and will be released right before the UK Tour begins! Let's hope that this pans out!!!! I wonder if Mark has filmed a promo for it? Anybody know, my source didn't! :( Mikey ------------------------------ Subject: Tickets on-line From: "Adrian Bond" Date: Mon, 21 Dec 1998 20:25:17 -0000 Tom wrote: > Rang the central ticket line this morning to query where are my tickets ? From: Nigel Collier Date: Mon, 21 Dec 1998 21:32:42 +0000 No, this isn't a message aimed at the 'greybeards' of the Digest, it's the announcement that since Andre Huijts confirmed he and his friends are going to attend the London gig, the total number of Digesters who will be there has now broken the half century barrier - it's going to be quite an event. If you have tickets and still haven't let me know then please send me a mail telling me which event you're going to, if you haven't got tickets yet, shame on you. This is Mariko Sumikura from Japan. Thank you for all the reply for the questions that I sent on Level42 Digest V98 #345. I wonder why there are two versions of "Guranteed" ? I hope I can get those videos like "Level Best" in the future. > Mariko Sumikura asked about the actress in the Something > About You vid. I believe her name is Cheri Lunghi (although > the sir name may be spelt slightly differently) Perhaps most > often seen in UK in the Kenco coffee adds. I was surprised that many answers came to this queestion ! I didn'n know that she was THAT famous. (I don't know much about movies.) I thought she was in the TV drama of Agatha Christie. I didn't know the name of the actress in TV drama at that time, but after I sent the question mail to this list, I found a book about this TV drama in Japanese. (Originally published in UK in1995) I checked the list of actors and actresses in the drama, and found out that I was wrong. I mistook Caroline Langrishe for C. Lunghi. Fool Me !!! Anyway, Thank you again ! I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ! A big shout to all my friends on the digest. . . (Hey, that's just about everyone!) :) For those of you who don't know me, I'm Matthew, and I've been in charge of the distribution for the digest albums AYGB and P&P. On account of some changes in my life over the last several months, I had to stop making the discs that so many of you have been asking for. Also, because of our agreement with the boys, we won't distribute any music that's currently in print- with the re-releases looming, we're not certain that the music on the two albums won't be in print in the very near future. There, however, might be a light at the end of the tunnel. I'll be heading back to Lubbock this weekend (yes, to visit the family and see my computer), and there's the possibility that I'll be able to bring my machine home with me. If, and I do stress the IF, I'm able to, and I have the time, I'll make a few more copies of the two digest discs. There are already a few people who sent their stuff in after my deadline, and if I get a chance to make the discs, they'll be at the top of the list. After that, however, it'll be first come-first served. Now, don't email me about this now. I promise that I don't have time to be writing this email in the first place, let alone responding to a couple dozen people asking for a copy of the discs. Simply hold tight, and look for another posting from me. ---- Re: Joe P, Kista. I almost never speak up on the digest against someone, but I'll make an exception here. If Kista is, in fact, Joe P, I say boot 'em. Lolita's not the only person on the digest with a legitimate grip against this poor excuse for a waste of oxygen. I, personally, would love to meet this person face-to-face. I have some rather unpleasant things I'd like to get off my chest. That's my final word about JP. ---- Take care, everyone, and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season. M PS- Jennifer, would you drop me a piece of email? I didn't get your phone number before you left LRIII. ------------------------------ Subject: Re: Mark King vs Madonna From: "Karel Neelis" Date: Tue, 22 Dec 1998 09:39:03 +0100 >------------------------------ > >Subject: Mark King vs Madonna ? >From: Daniel Venema >Date: Sat, 19 Dec 1998 15:18:38 +0100 > >Hi all, > >This morning my order from CDNow arrived.
