Mark was on it. He did Lessons in love, Running in the family and love games. They also did an intervieuw with him. Mark was at the fitnesscentre of his hotel when they asked him a couple of questions. They asked Mark to speak a few dutch words but Mark said that he only knew bad words because his wife only speaks duch to him when he did something wrong and the other words he knew where children words, because his children speaks dutch and watch the dutch programme 'Bassie and Adrian' (about a clouwn and an acrobat).Mark did say a few dutch words like poesie mauw and hondje blaf (there are words from a dutch children song)Mark did'nt want to sing because he had to speak English from his chef because Mark also did a parttime job in the hotel as a lavatory cleaner. Mark also said that he hates to have a day off while he is doing the NOTP because he's always on the road with Lisa stansfield, wetwetwet and John Miles, They all went bowling and drinking and is really bad then. They asked Mark if he's a macho. Mark laughed and said that is was just for that 'America ' song and he isn't a macho at all. That's all for now If you don't hear from me again Have a merry christmas and a happy new year. I hate to be the bearer of horrid, terrible, wretched and hurtful news, but Level 42 "broke up" in '94! I guess they will not be making music together for a good number of years, if at all. But we still hold hope. I take solace in the fact that unlike the Beatles, L42 had a more friendly break up and post break up relationship. As Mr. King said in an interviw, they have sold 30 million albums....they are a corporation. They still talk regularly. Onto other things: A friend of mine at Warner Records expressed his disgust at his company for their underhanded tactics. ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN, like L42, had recently moved to a new label. The band realeased their latest album "Evergreen" on the new label sometime around April. Warner Records, their previous label, undercut the new albums sales by hastily slapping together a "Best Of" album. The rights to the songs on it still belonged to Warner. And when I say slapped together, I mean it. The tracks are faded early and start abruptly, sometimes a bar or two into the song. This compelation was placed on the shelves by the retailers, right next to the new album. I do not know the specifics of the Bunnymans royalty deals, but I imagine that the band will be lucky to see a penny. What a cut-throat industry. Does anyone know if something similar happened to L42? I recall seeing something called "LEVEL 42 ESSENTIALS" at Tower Records. I looked at the tracks and simply saw 8 radio edit singles. I did not buy it because I had limited funds on that day and had already blown them on the Resurgence "Forever Now". When I went back, it was gone. Also, does anyone know if the EP version of "Lessons In Love" has been released on CD? I have it on cassette, but it is aging. I mean the EP with 3 versions of "Lessons in Love", the remix of "World Machine", the b sides "Cant Walk You Home", and "I Sleep On My Heart". ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Subject: Tickets From: Tom Brown Date: Mon, 21 Dec 1998 10:17:25 +0000 Hi Folks, Rang the central ticket line this morning to query where are my tickets ?
