Henri, from now on, to us you will always be 'Harry'! Lets face it, Mark is mighty cool! Bilal http://members.aol.com/bilal42 ------------------------------ Subject: Meeting Mark King From: Wutsupg @ aol.com Date: Sun, 6 Dec 1998 12:56:55 EST Greetings fellow digesters, After reading Henri's little story I couldn't help but feel bad for Mark. Don't get me wrong! I am happy that any fan of Level 42 can meet ANYmember and tell them they mean alot, but I kept cringing as I was reading Henri's story. I feel it to be an invasion of privacy to make an unsolicated call to Mark's hotel room. He is entitled to peace and quiet and time to himself without being bothered in the privacy of his hotel room. Once he agreed to meet Henri at 6pm, I would have considered myself blessed and wait until 6pm. But once again Mark had to be bugged while he was trying to get him and his folks out of the cab. That's pushy. I would never have asked for a ticket for my boyfriend regardless of how much I loved him. It just seems imposing, especially after he was nice enough to chat on the phone and then agree to meet up. Last but not least once I got all of those pictures and autographs I would leave it at that. But once again the boundary gets crossed and Henri goes chasing after him again by trying to sneak in and have Mark looked up. I guess the point of my little soapbox is that I feel bad for people like Mark that try to accomodate fans but then the fans don't know when to leave well enough alone. Event like this might also encourage Mark to avoid other fans who might be pleased with a handshake and a thank you. In other news......does anyone here no about Ebay? -Kista ------------------------------ Subject: notp From: Erik Terheggen Date: Sun, 06 Dec 1998 20:10:41 +0100 Hi everybody, Just a small note to say a public thank you to: Andre, for organizing the dutchies to visit NOTP and to keep the spirit alive. (ga zo door Andre !). Daniel for the mp3 bass-solo (it does sound a bit stange, Daniel are you sure the compression did work ? I hear all kind of strange noices !) Eric, for keeping us together See ya! I do have both the vinyl and cassette versions of it, but I would kill to get them on cd. Here's to the hope that those working on the Polydor remasters will put them back on. I also read about the two albums "Past and Presence" and "As Years Go By." Can anyone please tell me are any copies available for sale to us late comers to the Digest? I used the search engine to look for information on ordering them but I didn't find anything. Thanks so much, Dave Moore Seattle fan ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Subject: NOTP 98 From: "Christien De Roo" Organization: MailCity (http://www.mailcity.lycos.com:80) Date: Sun, 06 Dec 1998 23:46:35 -0700 Hi all, Yesterday, TV1(Belgian TV)broadcast the first part of NOTP (30 min). Mark didn't came in the first part. They turned everything upside down. We saw first John Miles and then wetwetwet (who came at the end of the show). On the cd of the NOTP are from wetwetwet the singles angel eyes and love is all around on tv they did sweet little mistery and that other one (I forget the name). So we have everything now. I hope it's the same with Mark King. So maybe Mark is on that part for next week. If anybody wants to have a cd of NOTP 98 it's in the music stores now and cost 695 belgian franks or around 11.9 £. Hey, if this forms into a real superlevelfest as advertised, I'm sure I could make it out to NY for that. Sounds like a good plan. ;) Zak Nilsson Xaqtly Music http://www.xaqtly.com "It's driving me crazy...bitter moon always betrays me"
