Hey Lolita, Holland may be small, but it's still a lot bigger than (just) Amsterdam ! Never mind that, I would love to be threre, but I am not sure yet if I _can_ be there. I'm sure we will discuss things during the LLLF '98. Regarding the Japanese version of Forever Now: Note that there are two japanese releases, one is the "regular" Japanese version (BVCP-711), the other (BVCP-7463) has the same tracks (so including the two missing tracks from the European edition) but it is remastered at 20 bit mastering equipment. This gives it an improved sound quality. (And how !) I only have the latter and I ordered mine at a Dutch record shop for F 52.50 (about USD 26,-) which is quite cheap for a Japanese import. It is worth every cent ! Walter Franken wrote: >I would like to show it to all LLL42 fans, if someone can tell me >again when and where this Lowland Level Fest is. I forgot.... (Sort of "After party") Anyway, the LLLF '98 will be in Holland, Ridderkerk (near Rotterdam) date: february 28, from 10.00 a,m. I will send you a personal mail soon ! Welcome ! (I don't have a S-VHS VCR over here, so if you want to show it, you should bring the VCR as well.....sorry). As I said the picture disc is taken from the cover of >the Guaranteed album on one side (but does not include Mike as he is out-of- >shot) while the other side features the cover of Waking Up The Neighbours by >Bryan Adams. I had a word with the guy on the stall who said that bands give >their permission for Amnesty to put pictures of their albums on interview >discs in support of the charity. Their is no catelog number on the record but >their is 'BSAPC 7-1' on the run-off groove. That's realy interesting. I bought a similar 7" with Amnesty interview on it, but instead of the Guaranteed graphics it has graphics from the World Machine period on it. (Remember the eyes and mouth on the papers that Mark is tearing on the video ? That's what's on the disc). I don't think any Level member is in the interview however. Nobody seems to know a lot about these. I will put a scan of this picture disc on my site very soon. Thanks, Brian L. ------------------------------ Subject: rockpalast From: "Ernst-Jan van der Hee" Date: Sun, 8 Feb 1998 11:33:56 +0100 Well, I've quickly watched the rockpalast-concert in Essen, Germany in 1984 which I recorded last night. First impressions: GREAT concert! Some things I noticed: 'turn it on' had a nice different bass solo, 'Mr Pink' was much more extended with very funky solo's by Mike and Mark, 'Kansas city milkman' had a nice sax solo by Krys Mach, live performances of 'Pursuit of accidents' and 'Kouyate' I've never seen, 'Kouyate' was played with Phil and Mark on percussion (no bass), and a funny interview after the concert with a ten second accapella riddle by mark, mike and phil. Everyone should see this concert!!! Ernst-Jan van der Hee PS. Holland won it's first gold and silver medal at the Olympics in Japan! gefeliciteerd Gianni en Rintje! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Freedom Someday, are you ready to make the deal?
