I think that the reason it was excessively more money has more to do with exchange rates at the time, especially since some of you got the same CD much cheaper. Just a hunch. Lolita ------------------------------ Subject: Used L42 CDs for sale From: Pat Flanagan Date: Thu, 05 Feb 1998 12:18:46 -0600 I was at a local used CD shop last night and saw the following (prices may be wrong, I'm going from memory): Level 42 -- $7.99 True Colours -- $5.99 Physical Presence -- $5.99 Staring At The Sun -- $5.99 If anyone wants any of these, email me and we'll work out the details. I'll only charge the price plus shipping, no profit on this deal. ____________________ PFPD -- newmedia marketing consulting a limited liability company PO Box 281, Granger, IN 46530-0281 v:616.663.2250 -- competitive business advantages through creative technology ------------------------------ Subject: Coupla things.. (Level42 related) From: Julian Arnold Date: Thu, 5 Feb 1998 12:55:25 -0800 Howdy folks, How are things? I'd love to be going to the Levelfest in May but I have a trip back to Ireland planned for June. I read JSL's records for sale and I'd cetainly like to put my name forward for both the "are you hearing.." 12" and the "Something about you" 12" if they're not spoken for already. I also read about the $45 charge for the Japanese Forever Now!! absurd price I also only paid about $25 for mine through Audiophile, and I feel it shouldn't really be anymore than that unless it's deemed to be extremely rare. Morgan, sounds like you have your hands full of empty hard drives. If you don't mind putting my name on your fan list here's my full name and email address: Julian Arnold Roll on April, the start of the re-releases (?) Henri, what exactly are you counting down to? I've seen other posts regarding this and I ain't got a clue.....(?) Sincerely all, Jules. ------------------------------ Subject: Re: Level42 Digest V98 #28 From: "Andre Huijts" Date: Wed, 4 Feb 1998 19:52:42 +0100 Hey Erik ! >Just came back from London (didn't find any material i' havn't got) Not a real surprise. I was lucky in the small town of Colchester last year, where I found Guaranteed on vinyl ! I guess London has been "mown" by too many Levelheads already ! >I assume the played only on the other songs of the Long Player, not on >the single. Well..... I thought Mark didn't contribute to "New York, London, Paris,Munich" at all. And don't tell me you _don't_ recognise Phil on "Pop Muzik". I'll eat my Level 42 shirt if it isn't Phil on drums on this one ! By the way speaking of M. Were any M albums ever released on CD ??? Mark and Phil _were_ on M's ''Official Secret" album however, if I am correct. >What i didn't know is that Wally Badarou > made a huge contribution to the single playing all the keys (which is >actually making the record sounding like it is.) I didn't lnow that either, mmmm, interesting. This makes this record a ''half Level 42 record" I guess...... > Wally was interviewed >saying he was now 'trying' to produce other people records and wanted to go >back making is own music again. >I taped it on VHS (i missed the first part) and I'll bring it to the LLL42 ! Great ! The Countdown has started ! LLLF '98 visitors = > Watch your e-mail next days. All info you will need will arrive ! From: getjakeit @ webtv.net (Jake Lennington) Date: Thu, 5 Feb 1998 21:31:16 -0600 Thanks to all who pointed me in the right direction to find "Guaranteed Live". Now I'm just missing two videos: Faithful Accomplishments Guaranteed and Forever Now Music Videos If ANYONE could copy these off in NTSC or PAL, I'd REALLY appreciate it. (I'll buy them at a good price!) Thanks again, Jake ------------------------------ Subject: START/END TIMES ROCKPALAST1 From: Henri.Blakenburg @ DUT.RWS.minvenw.nl Date: Fri, 6 Feb 98 8:14:39 +0200 Dear Levelheadz, At 08:50 hour this morning it will be 42 (!!!!) hours to go. YES YES YES, i've re-checked the running order through WDR-videotext this morning. Well, here it is: The rerun of the L42 concert on German television WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) at the "Grugahalle Essen in Germany" from 1984 will be in the early morning of february 8th. STARTING TIME : 02:50 HOUR ENDING TIME: 04:16 HOUR As mailed before: THE INTERVIEW WITH AN A-CAPPELLA THING IS INCLUDED !!! I haven't seen or hear it myself before so i'm very, very, very courius about that to. For everyone who can recieve WDR have a lot of fun, pleasure, good, etc time. For those who can't recieve WDR, i'm sure there will be a possabilaty (sorry, my English is not so well) to get a copy from another Digestmember. Spoken for myself, my VCR is (very) old and stops tapeing now and than. So i will be up whole night with some friends and a lot of beers, chips and other things to watch the show in real time, and put my VHS tape back in my VCR when he stops tapeing to give it another try. Maybe it's an idea to review this concert, and tell the difference between "a physical presence" (for asfar it's possible) to give an idea how the show was. HAVE A GOOOOOOOOOOOD TIME (I'M SURE YOU'LL HAVE) TO SEE THE SHOW !!!!!!! ALLEMAAL EEN HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL PRETTIGE AVOND (OCHTEND BETER GEZEGD) TOEGEWENST !!!!! EINER SCHONES ABEND ZUM UNSERE DEUTSCHE L42 FANS ZU GEWUNSCHT !!!!! Cee ya, Henri.
