A L42 topic !! and ILF '99 From: "Adam Hankinson" Date: Sun, 9 Aug 1998 15:34:50 +0100 At last! Thank god, and Ronald for starting a L42 topic. I only wish I knew the answers to his questions. ;-) Here's another one then..... Level fest '99.....Where? when? who? A few months back, we had people sugesting locations etc. Even small bribes in the form of a pin design !! (eh DZ?) I know many of you would like to come back here to old blighty, but who about an ILF somewhere else? I originally supported the Chicago idea (selfish, as I have friends there that I have never visited) But I was thinking about The Netherlands the other day as I believe that the Dutch had a very big part in the early success of the band. I would love to go there too ;-) But then again I wouldn't mind going to Orlando (hey the bribes working?!?) Or Texas, Boston, Seatle, Paris, Sydney or Shefield!!.......new friends around the world!! In fact I just need to get away somewhere next year...I need a holiday (vacation), And I would love to combine it with a big L42 party ! Who's up for it? Come on lest fest!! No no, my life is quite picturesque enough without having Readers Digest steer me in a yet more idyllic direction. In response to your subtle accusation that I am a specious charlatan, I can confirm that I first encountered the word otiose in Joseph Heller's God Knows (and have indeed been craving an opportunity to use it ever since.) Heller has a SERIOUS vocabulary. Or a very good thesaurus.
