Miguel Angel Nápoles L42 stores in Atlanta? Brian ------------------------------ Subject: Swapping From: "LOZ Green" Date: Tue, 21 Jul 1998 15:54:46 +0100 Hullo, I have some CD's and videos to swap. Staring At The Sun True Colours A Physical Prescence 'Level 42' Now I have taken a big decision. Do I or do I not keep the thrre videos IN my LEVEL 42 VIDEO BOX BOX SET, _AND_ the three I have seperate, or do I get rid of the seperate three. Well, I thought, if I can get something I don't have then thats got to be a bonus. So, I also have VIDEOS PAL Family OF Five Live At Wembley Fait Accompli I also have 7" single Overtime with As Yeast Goes By on the B-side. I am looking for swaps only, now I like laserdiscs and long box CDS, I like NTSC VIDEOS, YES I LIKE THEM, I don't have any of them, or NTSC laserdiscs, do they exist? I don't know, but I want them too. I also need, now what CD's are available in the US? I have Level Best and World Machine and Guaranteed, I guess Running In The Family is available from Over there? Live At Wembley with a different cat number, yes, I like that idea. Let me know if your interestd in anything. I also have copies of Level 42 The Definitive Biography for sale so give me an email if YOU LIKE THOSE!!!! I am looking for a man called 'LESTER BACHELOR' I am starting the great 'LESTER BACHELOR HUNT TODAY!!!! Hurrah I hear you all cry. Lester Bachelor was the man who did the artwork for 'Strategy', I am looking for him, when I find him I will get him to sketch it, and when he does, we will get one of the clever chaps on the digest to re-do the artwork. So some on, JOIN THE SEARCH,. Does anyone know anyone called LESTER BACHELOR. He played BASS in the pop group called 'ATMOSFEAR' a group with strong Level 42 connections. Andy Sojka, the man behind Elite, was the leader of the band, and he hasn't heard from Lester Bachelor for many years and has o idea where he is. But lo and behold AND lo, with me on the case it's no time before we track him down and start churning out our own Strategies complete with the oringal song titles AS THE BAND WANTED THEM! (OK SO we wont really churn them out, but it sounds good). So ask your bass playing style mates, say as loud as you can, 'LESTER BACHELOR - JOIN THE SEARCH' LOZ ------------------------------ Subject: New Level 42 Website, my $0.02, Rebecca Johson From: "Carl Mueller" Date: Tue, 21 Jul 1998 09:25:00 -0700 My new site is finally complete enough to be unveiled (eventhough there's still construction going on) (as with ANY website ;-]) You'll be redirected to the new site at Xoom, from the old address at http://www.inland.net/~cmueller/level42.htm My thanks to Winston for contributing a large number of scans, and Roger Heykoop for linking his RealAudio Jukebox to the site. Adam, drop me a line about the MP3's. Let me know if there's any spelling errors! HA! Also, I would like to hear from the contributors to the Cover 42 project (that was brilliantly produced and distributed by Bill Wilson; email Bill at bill @ speakeasy.org). Any background information about the when, where and who of the songs should make interesting linernotes. Email me at cmueller @ inland.net My 2 cents about the recent "discussion": NONE of the many projects of the Level 42 Digest are for profit and financial gain. Cost of shipping, handling, material, time, wear & tear of equipment is exactly that, cost. I bought it as a magazine, just like Bassplayer and Bassist. A contribution of the possible (but unlikely) profits to the Children Say Foundation is very appropriate imho. In other news: a recent Rebecca Johnson gig has been posted on the web! It's in RealVideo so you need to get the player (it also helps if you have at least a pentium 200 something) (unlike me btw; I'm using a friend's computer ;-]). The quality of the picture is not that good but you can hear the audio just fine. Check out the link on the "latest news" page on the Rebecca Johnson site: http://www.inland.net/~cmueller/rebecca/ Carl ps: hur nehuckin ace uck!!!! ------------------------------ Subject: TCOY video, etc. From: "Lage, Kristin" Date: Tue, 21 Jul 1998 18:02:51 -0500 I never contribute to this digest, but this may be a good time to start. 3 things: 1.) Yes, Eric (?), I did happen to see the SNL rerun with L42 on last Thurs., too! Certainly wasn't planned, and due to undesirable and irritating circumstances, I didn't get to tape it either. Just figures. 2.) Watched TCOY video recently and was humored by this scene in particular: At "Sleep too deep, zombie sleep; all alone it has to be..." ( think that's right), somebody (ML or GH?) goes skipping across the screen with a whippy windmill action of his right arm and the guitar he's toting flies up and belts him in the forehead! This may be old news, but check it out if you haven't seen it. That whole video is hysterical -- I think I'm most humored by ML! 3.) In their Top of the Pops performance of FN, MK has strap over his right shoulder...resulting in an uncharacteristically low carry of his bass. Wondering if anybody knew the rationale behind that, or if that's actually not that uncommon for him. If I remember right, I thought the performance was live and not Milli Vanillish. Any thoughts or comments? Oh, and I STILL have some ILF pictures to scan....if anyone's still interested in seeing them, I'll have to ask you to remain patient. (I'm a loser, I know.) Okay bye, Kristin ------------------------------ Subject: And from México... From: "Miguel Angel Nápoles" Date: Tue, 21 Jul 1998 16:47:28 PDT !Hi everybody there!
