I've noticed from one of the ILF '98 pictures of Mark, that he is left-handed. Does this help when you play right bass then? (I.e. does your bass playing improve when you play bass the opposite hand you write)? Anyone? Anyone? For anyone else coming to NYC, be sure to check out Carmine's in Times Square. Great italian cuisine, and as Richard mentioned, the portions are HUGE!! Tcoy, Win ------------------------------ Subject: Vapor Wear!! From: Winman42 @ aol.com Date: Mon, 6 Jul 1998 16:56:21 EDT Ok folks, in reply to Boz's post about the infamous 'vapor wear' Level 42 hats, here is the deal. 1. Eric is in no way affiliated with this hat deal. I just happened to post the offer on this digest. In fact, Eric didn't even order a hat. (yeah, i know, smart guy, right?) :-) 2. I have NOT gotten a refund from the company, and pursuant to Jerry Rehn's advice, and the advice of others I have contacted the BBB, whose hands this is now in. 3. Now, I'm aware that i have not been posting updates in a timely manner regarding these hats, for this I'm sorry. 4. As far as mutiplying the $11.00 cost for a hat by the number of folks who have ordered, here is ordering info: There were 33 hats ordered, of which I received payment for 25. I made up the difference, and am out of pocket for more money than anyone else. 5. All that said, I'm not prepared to refund $300.00 to out of my pocket, until such time as I get the money back from these jokers. 6. Prior to this post i have made arrangements with other folks who ordered hats. I have made cassettes, videos, and even custom CDR's for folks. So, I will extend this offer to anyone who ordered a hat. If you would like something on cassette, Video, or custom CDR, please e-mail me and i'll forward a list of things. I do this in the hope that folks don't think I'm ripping you off for the cost of a hat. In closing, I hope this doesn't or didn't taint the 'spirit' of this digest. Tcoy, Winston p.s. Somehow I think this is all Bill Wilson's fault!! ------------------------------ Subject: Re: "Heaven in My Hands" and "Contact" From: Lazlo Nibble Date: Mon, 6 Jul 1998 17:43:24 -0600 > Did you ever notice the vague coincidence that the CD single cover "Heaven In > My Hands" features large radio antenna similar to those in the movie > "Contact". My favorite food is saag paneer by a LOoooooonnnng way. I had one this Friday (it really smells quite bad though) mine was madras hot though, oh yes, it has to be hot. Also I like Level 42, go to church. I know a few people will groan now, but Mike is quite a regular churchgoer as well, I remeber him saying in an interview somewhere. (I'll shut up now) Anyway, I guess the similarities end there, however, your a software programmer and my PHd is creating some artificial intelligence software to help engineers repair bridges. Neat. Yours............................LOZ
