It's the picutre of the guys from world machine, where they are looking up at the camera and like are dressed in yellows reds and oranges and all tangled up in stuff. It looks as though they are staring out at the user and everyone who has seen compliments me on what a good idea it was. Maybe this person is a digest subscriber? :) Well it wasn't me but I was there at the Reading Hexagon Theatre gig, one of the three gigs that were recorded for the album. (That's pronounced 'Redding', by the way!) Snooker was obviously off that night. A lot of us have met and seen each other at gigs and it would be good to put a face to the name. Can this be done Mr Webster? I haven't sent one in yet but I'll get round to it. Let me check if he's here, no, nothing, he's not playing here!" 0171 916 6060 Capacity 350 people I think from the additional probing I did that Mark could play Jazz Cafe NW1, she said 'nothing is confirmed' and I said 'but like, you mean something is pencilled in' and the lady said 'No, nothing'. Whatever happens, tickets will be like hot cakes, I for one will be phoning EVERY SINGLE DAY until I hear something (not leterally until I hear something as clearly I am hearing all the time except when I'm asleep) In fact I offered to send the money down and she could keep it if Mark wasn't playing, but if he was she had to get me the tickets and she said 'No.' Still, I'll keep trying, I'll be there................................LOZ ------------------------------ Subject: The Jazz Cafe From: Robert_Steen/DUB/Lotus @ lotus.com Date: Mon, 29 Jun 1998 17:09:28 +0100 Hi All, Anyone any news on this, I got through to the number "The Jazz Cafe" London N16 on +44 (0)171 690 8600 and they thought it was in the 'other' jazz cafe. Has anyone got tickets yet, at this rate I'll be trying Crockford tomorrow... Can anybody confirm this? (Morgan, Andrew?) I have not been able to get thru to Ticketmaster at 0171 344 0044. Stay tuned for further updates. The first one in N16 do not know anything about it and the second one (center of London) has just told me "i was hoping to have him (Mark) here but the promoter cancelled two days ago" Very strange turn of events anyone have any answers to why this has happened?? Later, Allan ------------------------------ Subject: To Be With You Again From: Zippwitz @ aol.com Date: Mon, 29 Jun 1998 15:51:43 EDT Yeah, that is one of their more overlooked songs - probably because the radio edit does not flow well - a line is edited out to shorten it, but it really destroys the song. On a similar note, I have a huge poster from that song - it takes up most of a wall and has a picture of the woman from the video on it. ------------------------------ Subject: Re: Level42 Digest V98 #173 From: cfreeman @ wfyi.org (Cedric Freeman) Date: Mon, 29 Jun 1998 17:22:05 -0500 B.T.W. Maybe this person is a digest subscriber? :) > > Bye > > Mnr Charl Mocke As you all probably know, a similar event can be heard on the Live at Wembley CD: there's a group of lads chanting something in the line of 'we-oh, we-oh, we-o we-o we-o' throughout a couple of the songs (it indeed gives that great 'live' sound to it; God I wish I had been there...) Probably just some cryout to the band: 'we're here and we think you're the best'. Same as that whistle... Would show up pretty nice on the cover of the CD-recording of the gig; to see [ John Smith - Percussion Whistle ] on it. I do really hope Mark's comment in his interview (about him and Mike recording a new Level42 song somewhere in the future) has a more definite sequal. It could perhaps give them the thought of reforming again, something I think we all impatiently await...
