From: "Sal Grillo" > weekend I bought the Running In The Family cd.I had the album and forgot > that it had one of my favorite Level songs on it Fashion Fever.Talk > about a groove. Yeah, Fashion Fever is one of my favourite tracks too! Especially the great part: "And when the fever starts to fade, you know you might have gone too far... and what is left, is anyone's guess, no-no knows who you are!" Superb melody!!! :) Later, Charl Mnr Charl Mocke ============ University of Stellenbosch South Africa Home tel.: +27 21 854 8005 E-mail: 9413693 @ narga.sun.ac.za Mugshot: http://fudd.ard.sun.ac.za/surfer.jpg University Home Page: http://www.sun.ac.za/ ------------------------------ Subject: update From: beezer @ tip.nl Date: Wed, 22 Apr 1998 19:51:54 +0000 Hello, I have updated my sales list TRACKS OF LIVE TAPES AVAILABLE take a look http://www.level.club.tip.nl Beezer ------------------------------ Subject: Still looking.. From: "Patrick Key" Date: Wed, 22 Apr 1998 20:49:49 +0200 Hi LevelHeads! Earlier, I asked if anyone could tell me where to get "The early tapes", "As years go by" and if MK ever made any kind of instruction video. Well, since nobody replied I feel inclined to ask the same question again: Can anybody tell me where to get "The early tapes", "As years go by" and if MK ever made any kind of instruction video? I'd really like to get those CD's and the video (if there is one..). There's just no way for me to find any of these items here in Sweden. The so called funk-bass-teacher I go to sucks big time and I think that I would get along better with a video of MK's thumbslinging. Has anyone else noticed that MK rarely speaks about his technique in interviews? ....anyway, I got "43" together last night but the funny part is that it doesn't seem to sound as well when I play without music....:-( I would also like to get a piece of advice on learning notes/tabs vs. playing by ear. Thanx! And listen to me; It's (not) over. > >(ook voor jou Andre helaas........., toch een mooi stadion) Jeez, a guy from Rotterdam who is an Ajax supporter.......aaah, well I suppose we all have our faults.... ;) ! I must say Dick, I like your musical taste a lot better than your football taste, hahaha ! ennuh, "toch een mooi stadion" ? Je bedoelt: Feyenoord heeft een voetbalstadion, en Ajax speelt in een zojuist gelande UFO. OK, let's cut the foorball crap this is a L42 digest right ? About Linda McCartney: she has been critized a lot, being it her influence on Paul or her musical "talent". Anyway there is a L42 link: she took the pictures that are on the Tracie single. R.I.P. AAAAAHHHHHHH, It's good to be back!!! Thanks for the welcome Greg and Adam!! I've inquired to a few people about the Guaranteed live video, but noone has any info. If anyone out there has info please let me know, I need a copy bad. I've also searched many an hour through BBC sites to find info on all Prince's Trust videos and Cds and haven't found much. Help!! In response to Don Z, I'm a bass player too. I would imagine there are quite a few of us all inspired by the MAN. It would be PHAT to chat with all of you and swat notes, see what each of us has learned as far as L42 tunes go, etc........ Not that it hasn't been harped on enough already, but what's up with racist jokes y'all? Now, you know better than that, don't you? See you soon, T. P.S. Dont know why some people didnt like it; its just plain great fun- funky even! PS. I just remembered today, Linda McArtney did the photography for the Tracie single cover, remember? It was the one where the whole band are laughing. Take care all Bilal ------------------------------ Subject: Mark King, Chief Financial Officer From: Bilal42 Date: Wed, 22 Apr 1998 19:20:06 EDT This is an extract from a business journal today, re the President of ACS (Allied Computer Services)...! "During the quarter, we significantly enhanced our flexibility with the completion of our convertible debt offering. With over $50 million of cash on hand and almost $200 million available under our existing line of credit, we believe we have the necessary capital structure to continue our growth in the foreseeable future," said Mark King, executive vice president and chief financial officer. ...maybe he can help fund the Level 42 revival?
