The same goes for vinyl. UK CD has it. My Japanese copy does not though. My original UK vinyl pressing doesn't have this track and doesn't mention it. My Canadian/US copy on vinyl does have it I think. I assume that this because they used the CD master to press up copies of all of the early albums in the US after the success of World Machine/ Running In The Family. The Japanese CD sounds closer to the original UK vinyl. The UK CD and US vinyl sound muddy and muted by comparison Lazlo, If you need more details for the discog e me privately. TTFN, Mike ------------------------------ Subject: **Remember the Level vote? Well...** From: John Venzon Date: Sat, 29 Mar 97 18:37:09 -0800 Folks, I was all ready to post the results of the final second live disc, when out of the blue Winston sends me a dub of a Level 42 show dated 9/29/94 - yes kids, it's the Portsmouth, Guildhall show. Forever Now tour.... and not bad sounding, as these things go. Much better than I would expect from an audience perspective. (Winston, plucking these things out of the air... much like magic, I'd say... Yea Winston!!!) So this means, of course, the track listing for disc two is now up in the air... again. Just to be complete about it, here is the first disc. I have dropped all references to "Follow Me" for reasons stated numerous time before. Proposed Live Discs Disc One: Live B-Sides * after track # = Final Selection 1 * Turn it On [Physical Presence] 2 * Mr. Pink [Physical Presence] 3 * 88 [Physical Presence] 4 - 88 [The Chinese Way 12 inch] 5 - Turn it on [Micro-Kid 12 inch] 6 - Dune Tune/Love Games [Weave your Spell 12 inch] 7 - Her Big Day [Official Bootleg] 8 - The Sun Goes Down [Official Bootleg] 9 - Silence [Official Bootleg] 10 - Man [Official Bootleg] 11 * Physical Presence [Spectrum's "On A Level"] 12 * Microkid [This _is_ Wembley87] 13 - Overtime [Overtime ltd edition CD Single] 14 - Guaranteed [Overtime ltd edition CD Single] 15 - If You Were Mine [Overtime ltd edition CD Single] Total ??:?? (probably too much) ------------------- Now,if I have missed any official release listed above, please post it or email me. I want this list to include all officially released tracks, and from there we can pick the best. This includes flexidiscs, in all their crackle/sputter/snap glory. List 'em all!! Which brings me to muse on the possibility, of doing this as a.... GULP... three disc set???!!! I know I said box set when we started... but hey.... I don't want to suggest this to torture anyone... but Zap.... could it be done? Could it? Eeep!! Disc Two: Rare Live 1 - Are You Hearing? [Wembley] (7:04) 2 - I Want Eyes [Wembley] (7:39) 3 - It's Not the Same For Us [?] (5:38) 4 - Koyate [?] (5:54) 5 - Out of Sight, Out of Mind [Thameshall] (6:39) 6 - Running in the Family {Original Lyrics} [Wembley] (7:02) 7 - Sandstorm [Thameshall] (6:33) 8 - A Pharoah's Dream [?] (5:47) 9 - 42 [Dronten] (6:30) 10 - Tracie [12th January 89 concert at Wembley Arena] (5:53) 11 - Set Me Up [?] (4:10) 12 - 43/Drum Solo [Ge '84] (9:30) 13 - Mark's Bass Demo [Expohal Hilversum] (9:00) Total 72:36 (Rough Timing, will be shorter by around 1-2 minutes) Ok, here are the notable tracks from the Portsmouth show that are of 'rare-er' quality. I am dropping the major singles. Why? You've got them already!! 1 - Forever Now 2 - The Sun Goes Down 3 - One in a Million 4 - World Machine 5 - Model Friend 6 - Kanas City Milkman 7 - Love in a Peaceful World 8 - All Over You I don't have timings just yet, but I am leaning to including World Machine right off, as well, it's from World Machine my #1 fav. But the rest have merit. Time to email me with your votes, or if you want your preference know to the world (or at least the digest part of the world) post it. Lovin' you all like the Microkids you all are in your hearts... John V ------------------------------ Subject: MD, Spice, Live At Wembley From: WarpGod @ aol.com Date: Sun, 30 Mar 1997 23:48:58 -0500 (EST) Hello Again. Man, I thought I'd get flamed off the list for my opinions, but I'm very glad to have found a receptive group here. Cool. For the person that was wondering what the hell I needed 200 blank MDs for(Randall, I believe?), the answer is this. I own over 500 CDs and 200 cassettes. One day I would like to take everything that I like from all those sources and put them on one non-degradeable medium. Also, with all the mixes I make for people, I use the MD as a mastering tool, and I can tie up as many as 20 discs in a week doing this. Having 200 discs at my disposal is truly a luxury I can't afford, but just an ideal situation. Did I say how much I dislike cassettes? Especially since the advent of auto-reverse(can't you buggers flip the damn tape?!), the phasing and inconsistent quality drive me nuts. The Minidisc is a great bridge between cassette and CD, and everyone that I've played an MD for has been amazed at the quality. Don't knock it til you hear it. Enough on that for a while. Somehow, I can't get past the mean-spirited attitude towards the Spice Girls. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but these hate-sites(let's call them what they are) are worse than anything the Spice Girls could do. It really shows where some people's priorities are. Do something constructive, Ms. Gallagher. Remember the Cyndi Lauper tune "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"? Case in point, folks. They're having a blast, and this world could use a good dose of good fun. With all the real horrible things going on in the world, this amounts to nothing. Although their musical merits are pure pop(we're not talking virtuousity here), there's nothing wrong with that.I think they're cute, and I get a kick out of their antics. So let's leave that mean BS off the list. I hate when irrelevant threads get going. Sorry I had to vent like that, but as a kid I was tossed about for my views, and I know too well how it feels to be the object of irrational dislike. Life's too short. Where were we? The Level 42 list? Yes, I forgot :*) Does anyone know where I can find Live At Wembley on VHS here in the states? Can someone post info on this tape(year, songs, line-up, etc)? Any help would be appreciated. Take Care-----Paul Berger--- BTW, Zak, go ahead and use the WarpGod moniker for the Gamma trip. But if you get caught by the fuzz out there, you don't know me. ------------------------------ Subject: Message to TAKEO From: "Zaron Michael Frumin" Date: Mon, 31 Mar 1997 03:23:11 -0500 (EST) TAKEO - Please E-Mail me!
