Anyone else listen to the Arcadia album? they had worked in some sort of a transition piece to blend the two sides of the album together for the CD. I have yet to even see this album on CD, anyone know if this is true?-- Yes, Arcadia " So Red The Rose" was issued on CD. It was several years after it's initial release on tape and vinyl. It first came out in Japan and a few weeks later in the US and Europe. There was much demand for this title for years after it's release but by the time they got around to issuing it most folks had lost interest. I too am a DeWayne DeWayne fan and was still interested when it finally was issued. I got the Japanese when it was released and have seen the US several times since, though not very recently, and can say for sure that there is no additional music on either. Most of DD's stuff is or at least was available on cd. Much of the early stuff, my favorite era, is out of print in the US but still available in many store's stock and I think all the albums are still in print abroad. One other Duran note and then I'll shut up. Some one mentioned the album that came out after Big Thing and before the "wedding" album recently and stated that it was a poor effort. It recieved very little publicty at it's release, Stateside at least, and flopped. I really was disappointed with it when I first bought it. It was very different from the other DeWayne sounds that was used to. About 3 years ago I got it out and gave it a listen on a whim. Listening to it not as a DD record but just as some music really changes my appreciation of this album. I quite like it now. If any of you fans out there bought this record, hated it but still have it, give it another chance. I think you'll be suprised. Also, a few weeks back some one mentioned having met or knowing John Taylor of DD. If this person is still on the list please drop me a line at my personal email add. mikep3099 @ aol.com , I'd just be interested to find out if you have any new info about the band and it's work or future projects or if you still have a way to contact them. From: "Louis Barfe's IbMePdErRoIoAmL" Date: Wed, 3 Jan 1996 15:59:10 +0000 (GMT) I recall reading something at the time in a musicians' mag that Clapton had immense trouble playing the Running In The Family riff, so perhaps his bored expression comes from him mentally sitting that song out. And the blond guy with the great voice is John Farnham. He's huge in Australia, but had a couple of hits here in the You Kay. From: LittleHalo @ aol.com Date: Fri, 5 Jan 1996 16:21:55 -0500 Hi everyone, I, too, have ordered Forever Now +4-2 (Resurgence) from CDNow and it's been about a month since the order was put in! I'm getting peeved too, TTrudell! I would suggest that Les from California (me, too!) try ordering Mike Lindup's album from Audiophile imports as someone else suggested since CDNow will leave your order hanging for two months and then e-mail you telling you that it is unavailable or out of print. Well, I ordered Mike's CD from Audiophile yesterday and they said I should get it by Tuesday! I tried ordering two (one for mom) but they only had one left yesterday so I suggest you call in a couple more days so that they will have more in. Either that or you can preorder. The toll free number for those of us Californians who don't like calling Maryland is: (800) AUDIO90. Good luck! Love in a Peaceful World, Angel ------------------------------ Subject: Forever and Ever Now From: GVermette @ aol.com Date: Fri, 5 Jan 1996 13:54:57 -0500 Hi Folks! TTrudell, you wrote, >Has anyone else ordered the FN + 4 from CD Now, only to wait and wait and >wait and wait and wait and wait and . . .??? I don't think CD Now is entirely responsible. There is a second distributor they use quite often called AB-CD. As far as I know, they are the ones who handle the imports. There seems to be a log jam on the FN orders, as I had ordered two copies, and only got one, with a note explaining the other had been backordered by AB-CD. There was a question regarding the lineup of songs on the FN Griffin release. According to the GriffinMusic homepage, it's identical to the Japanese release, ie. the original UK version with "Time Will Heal" and "Learn to Say No" added at the end as bonus tracks. Yet again, it says it's not released, while CD Now says that it is. Can't we all just get along? -Greg Vermette (Bad lyric - "Ice ice baby, Vanilla Ice ice baby...." - Ice Ice Baby - Vanilla Ice)
