Many local record shops will special order imports but their pricing is variable. ************************* * Prashant Joshi * ************************* {kidsdoc @ terraport.net} ------------------------------ Subject: Re: Level42 Digest V96 #2 From: Daniel James Date: Thu, 4 Jan 96 09:36:21 -0800 Les (Lesdland @ aol.com) wrote: > I have a problem, though, I live in California and have > not been able to get my hands on Mike Lindup's solo album, > Changes. It cost $30.99 including $6 for shipping. It's a fantastic album! If you're looking for more Level 42, then you may be dissapointed, it's a little more pop'ish (but definatly not *too* popish), but it's a really enjoyable album. I have the first album (which is actually the re-release version with the original cover), and I have a tape of the Rio CD which is a bit different than the Tape/Vinyl. It's got the short version of Hungry Like the Wolf, and a quasi-remix version of Hold Back the Rain (much better than the original, but not as long as the 12" version-but it's the same mix). I think that New Religion may be different too but I can't remember.-- =============================================================================== -- Be forwarned... I have yet to even see this album on CD, anyone know if > this is true?-- I'll have to check my CD when I get home, but I don't remember noticing anything different about it. The problem is that So Red The Rose didn't get released on CD until 1990 -- several years after the LP -- and any such transitional piece may have simply gotten lost in the shuffle. It is a surprisingly good album, though. (I think Thank You is pretty consistently good too, even the much-maligned "911 Is A Joke".) -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo @ swcp.com; http://www.swcp.com/lazlo) ------------------------------ Subject: General bitching From: TTrudell @ aol.com Date: Thu, 4 Jan 1996 22:21:36 -0500 Has anyone else ordered the FN + 4 from CD Now, only to wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and . . .???
