Many of you panned that song, but I happen to like it a lot Love it to pieces as well... and Learn To Say No... the remixes on the CD singles were well er pants... but the original... it followed in the same vein as Forever Now and was really forward looking. Finally... best tracks to write a dissertation by? Yes I know I'm cutting it fine but I need some music to help me through! If it helps at all by the way, the word 'stonker' is pronounced 'stonker' whether you're in the US, UK or Outer Mongolia. I thank you. Yeah, whatever. At least their not justifying their sunglasses. 2)Anybody hip to the band Junk? 3) Let's all wish J. Venzon many beers to put on his fancy new drink coasters. These lyrics to "Take Care of Yourself" come from the lyric sheet included in the Japanese version of "On A Level." =========================== Take Care of Yourself (M. King) Marching clock now he don't stop, seen it quite a lot and he says "TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF." Old man sighs, shuts his eyes, and leaves behind another life, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Millstones swing, "grind your thing," pay the tax and alimony, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Raise that boy, he'll go far, 'cos he had a real good teacher, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Truth don't go, don't go far, sell a lie to any paper, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Sleep too deep, zombie sleep, and all alone it has to be, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Peace of mind is hard to find but he don't mind like you don't mind y'all. Big "T" don't care that you don't mind, no She don't care, and you don't matter. 1-9-9-0 here we go, may the next ten break the mould TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Mr. Good's gone away, looking out for number one says, "TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF." Did she say where you'd have to stay when the party's over? Can you face the longest march to come, now you know you're not the number one? Yeah, yeah - You feel alright? Yeah, yeah - You know it's "packing in" the mind Yeah, yeah - But the Hero says Yeah, yeah - "I get blind anyway" Yeah, yeah - "It doesn't matter to me," Yeah, yeah - "Whatever you say," Yeah, yeah - "I GOT MORE THAN YESTERDAY" Marching clock now he don't stop, seen it quite a lot an he says "TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF." Old man sighs, shuts his eyes, and leaves behind another life, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. ====================== So, what to make of the capitalization and punctuation choices? Probably choices made in the translation. Also, ardent fans will remember that these lyrics were printed in the fan club newsletter shortly after the song's release. The lyrics sheet included with this disc makes at least one error - the line "Big "T" don't care..." is written simply as "big don't care." Then again, Mark "improvises" around his lyrics, subtly changing the phrasing every now and again. So, this set of lyrics should be seen as a good "base," and not a literal transcription of the song. This was one of my favorite 42 songs (and still is!) -- and the video is wild, wacky and cool!
