I suggest everyone here that can see the newsgroup post a brief hello, so we can see if it gets any propagation. (You don't mind if I call you "Shuf", do you, John? :-) An excellent idea. Please send me the info or post it here and I'll be sure to add it. Did you or someone else suggest another similar addition to the website? I can't recall for sure, and I have mistakenly deleted the digest it was in already ... I guess it'll be a bit tricky working the US, Europe, Australia and so on together... but lets give it a try (hey I don't have a normal sleeping pattern anyway). ------------------------------ Subject: Name that tune... Also, what's up with the second digest in the late afternoon! Cool! Bye, Angel(s cry as they fall) [The digest got too big, so my digest engine slung it out early. Suprise! BTW - please try *not* to include the text from an entire previous digest, since this was what made it sooo huge!! Thanks... -Eric] ------------------------------ Subject: The Early Tapes From: Lazlo Nibble Date: Fri, 12 Jan 1996 11:42:20 -0700 (MST) > Are there many versions of the Early Tapes, US/UK? Or just one? Just one. As far as I know there's no US CD issue, though there may have been an LP way back then -- but at any rate, all the version have the same tracks. (Sadly, not all versions have the same cover art -- Vince has the Japanese LP and I remember it as having much nicer artwork than the cheesy CD art.) -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo @ swcp.com; http://www.swcp.com/lazlo) ------------------------------ Subject: Changes From: Lazlo Nibble Date: Fri, 12 Jan 1996 11:44:58 -0700 (MST) > Does anyone know what the second to last song on Mike's Changes CD on > Resurgence is? The CD booklet or cover doesn't say anything about it. It's called "Jung". Dunno why they don't list it; it was on the original CD as well. This is one of those good discography-type questions :-): http://www.swcp.com/lazlo/Discographies.html#level.42 ftp://ftp.swcp.com/pub/users/lazlo/discographies/ Email discogs @ swcp.com (with command GET LEVEL.42) I'll probably finish off the current update this weekend sometime. -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo @ swcp.com; http://www.swcp.com/lazlo) ------------------------------ Subject: Running In The Family (Plat Edition) From: Jon Riding Date: Sun, 14 Jan 1996 02:12:08 GMT Hi there, Angel wanted to know the difference between the standard edition and the platinum edition of Running In The Family, where here goes:- The platinum edition was released about 6 months after the first release of Running In The Family here in the UK. I presume it was released to try and generate extra sales to keep the album in the chart for longer. The full track listing is as follows:- Lessons In Love (Shep Pettibone Remix) 7.44 Children Say 4.53 Running In The Family (Dave 'O' Remix) 6.37 It's Over (Remix) 6.00 Freedom Someday 6.20 To Be With You Again 5.19 Two Solitudes 5.37 Fashion Fever 4.35 Sleepwalkers 6.02 Something About You (Shep Pettibone Remix) 8.03 World Machine (Shep Pettibone Remix) 5.39 All the tracks that aren't remixes are exactly the same as one the original UK release. Two other tracks off this album were remixed for single release but as far as I know they don't appear on any album. They are Children Say and To Be With You Again, both excellent remixes if you can get hold of them. Hope that helps, bye for now, Jon. -- Jon Riding E-Mail jon @ stanpit.demon.co.uk
