All the apostrophes seem to have changed. And the pound signs change to stlg. Oh well...... Okay for the overseas people who want me to tape stuff, can I have the money in POUNDS which is the same as sterling. If you send me international watsists it might be harder. However postal orders may be okay so I will leave it up to you to sort out the exchange rate business. So, I will wait for each of you individually to send me the money at the address I gave yesterday and then I will purchase your tapes, tape the stuff you have requested and send it back ASAP. A little warning though........the sooner you send me the money the sooner I can send them back. As my Uni term advances, I will have less time to do the tapes so the early birds will definitely catch the early worm! ------------------------------ From: John Edward Martin Shuford Date: Thu, 2 Feb 1995 23:27:26 -0800 (PST) Subject: Re: Level 42 Digest, #293 What is Mark saying at the end of the Something About You Video? If you are talking about what he is saying when he is off the train and turns back into the technicolor powerlaughing evil clowny clown clown, dunno. Too much talk. Does anyone know what station they are at? Any of you Brits? I couldn't tell. Unrelatedly, does anyone know why L42 never appeared in any of the following things? -Band Aid -Live Aid -Freddie Mercury Tribute Seems they should have been in all of those. Mark and Midge Ure are good buddies, and Midge was very much involved with Band Aid. Further, The Freddie Tribute would have been a good way to pay tribute to Alan Murphy at the same time. Finally, the comic strip bubble on the back of Forever Now says "The Children Say Charity." It began with the proceeds from the Children Say single going to children's hospitals in England. They were contacted about doing it for Running In The Family, but the story is that they couldn't organize it fast enough to pull it off. Course, Running In The Family was a much bigger hit worldwide than was Children Say...
