They put out 2 albums "Keep Your Distance" & "Get Ahead". When I was in Italy in 1992 they released 2 songs which topped the European charts called "I Need Your Loving" (the remake of the old Tina Marie Dance song) & "Hang on in their Baby" another remake. And in 1994 they released "Gimmie the Sunshine/Work it out". That was the last I heard from them. I'm a big fan of theirs and have all of their music. So Far.... -Afua ------------------------------ From: Rob Kadel Date: Thu, 15 Jun 1995 10:12:48 -0400 (EDT) Subject: L42 in public and Lindup Hey all! First, I just wanted to let everyone know that I was out at Cha-Cha Coconuts (a restaurant/bar) in Tampa a few nights ago, and "Children Say" came over their music system. It was nice too, 'cos it wasn't typical muzak -- the guys were on a tape or CD with the likes of Sting and other happenin' bands. Second, YES, Mike, I think someone ought to give Lindup a call. Just let him know our feelings and ask some questions about his future plans. He probably won't divulge too much info, but still, just so he knows someone's interested.... They put another album out, don't remember the title, but it had a weird photo of a guy in sunglasses on the cover (how's that for descriptive -- I know, that really helps). Loved the first album, wasn't crazy about the second. So far as I know, they proceeded to fade off into oblivion, another "they'll be the next Beatles" gone and forgotten about. However, I think Mike would be flattered by what we're doing in this forum. Perhaps he has an Internet address himself and would like to join our group..... I suggest dropping him a note in the mail........ Use the phone if you're bold enough, but you may not get a positive response. At least with the mail there's less of a sense that someone has invaded your privacy....... Do contact him!!!!! Eric B. After that I never heard >anything about them again, nor have I seen any other albums released by >them. If anyone knows the deal, please fill me in on the details. Thanks. They made two more albums, which were equally brillant, the last one under the name "Curiosity" after they dumped their ugly guitar player. They are supposed to be preparing their fourth album now.
