As only the sign-off part of my message was included in the digest two days ago. I thought I'd better ask my question again so people didn't think I was simply cluttering up the page with nonsense. So here we go (Take 2) Despite having checked the web site and the FTP site for enlightenment I can't seem to find anywhere that states why Level 42 actually split-up (forgive me if this subject has already been adequately covered by this mailing list). After the Forever Now LP I was very optimistic for the future of the band, personally I think it rates as one of the best Level 42 albums, there isn't a track on the album that I don't like. The singles that were released from it did quite well in Britain (Forever Now and All Over You both went into the Top 20). Also the band played in largeish venues on the tour that supported the album, one of the dates on the UK leg was the Royal Albert Hall. This proved that the band still had a huge fanbase in Britain (also from this list it seems that they were well supported in Europe and the U.S.A.) SO WHAT WENT WRONG??? Did the record company withdraw their support? Did the band members fall out? Did they simply decide they'd had enough after 14 years? AND THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION- Is there any chance that the band ever work together again? I'd be extremely grateful if anybody who's in the know could reply to the digest, + I would love to know what other people thought of "Forever Now" -is it one of your favourite Level 42 LP's as well? Demographics Hi All, I am 25, White, New Zealander, Male. I have my own company importing 3d graphics software and storage hardware into New Zealand for resale. I have been playing bass since 1986, and have been right into Level 42 since the same time. I have never seen them live. I am bummed about that. However I do have a friend who is also into L42 and missed their final ever concert in London by one week! He was more bummed!! One thing I do want to find out about though, so if you can help me please do so, is, what musical projects are being worked on now and in the future post-Level42? In particular Mark King? I need my regular fix of his playing!
