I don't know if you noticed that they had some problems with their sound in this live.... sometimes the keyboard sound of mike didn't come out immediately, and the same for boon.... just the bass and drums were always on a high level. This means that if you've listened to this live, you 've probably never heard level 42's songs with a so strong bass sound !! that's great :) And of course like other fans, I found it excellent, especially the songs I've never heard before live .... now i just wanted to say a big "thanks" to daniel who to warned us for watching the live show (else i wouldn't have see it !! ) and another thing now: I bought an "Animal Logic" album (the one with three dogs on the cover) and I don't remember who told us about this band (with Stanley Clarke....) but i would like to know if thery have made other albums ??? Honestly, if you haven't yet listened to them, you should. It's not as funky as level (but the songs are made with a nice melody and the bass line is also good.. and so on... ok well, take care of yourself :) denis. ------------------------------ From: Kim Ivey Date: Tue, 2 May 1995 08:51:01 -0600 (MDT) Subject: Re: Level 42 Digest, #378 I'l too lazy to consult the WWW ... so ... They both tell a story, of the "Evil Clown" who screws things up for people in relationships. Not to mention that Mark wears a cool tweed jacket in the LMN vid. - Rob ------------------------------ From: Peter Hadley Date: Tue, 2 May 1995 14:37:24 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Re: Level 42 Digest, #37 > I'l too lazy to consult the WWW ... so ... Yep, _Animal Logic II_, released in '91, 11 boring tracks, it's about as poor as the first album. This one has a photo of 3 Polar Bears. I'm still looking for any boots from their very small tours, I would hope an amazing rhythem section such as Stu and Stan would actually kick into it a little. --jay ------------------------------ From: FORD_PREFECT @ DARKNESS.gun.de (Dirk Pilat) Organization: Icam-1 worship center Date: Tue, 25 Apr 95 21:28:30 CET Subject: oops... Oops... Sorry, mixed that up! They did "Something about you" and "Running i.t.F" at the princes trust. Damn.... Well... still Phil Collins and Howard Jones were there... What is your favorite Level > 42 video and why? For me, the video for "Something About You" is way out in front of any others -- and not just because of the song it's complementing! The video is rich with symbolism & imagery, and its dark, somewhat cynical themes play right in the face of the lyrics' melancholy romantic attitude. Brilliant. Plus, all the boys do a wonderful acting job in the vid, and what's NOT to like about Mark dressed up as an evil vaudeville clown? :-) Vince p.s. Au revoir, Adrian! This is a tough one. I would have to say Something About You. It seems to have a plot, which is something you find in very few music videos. ------------------------------ From: Rack1SPC @ aol.com Date: Wed, 3 May 1995 00:20:01 -0400 Subject: Re: Favorite video The video that immediatly comes to mind is" Heaven in my Hands". It fits the song well-good shots of guitarist at the right time along with the superimposed images throughout the song. It just generates the excitement that the song conveys. I'm sounding like Siskel and Ebert. Sean
