Okay, I'll change the Web page's notes BACK to Jakko then. (Why is this discussion happening now instead of when I first brought this up?) D'oh! I'm interested in what bands/tunes they have you studying. Well, what with all the negotiations, and subsequent planning needed for this caribbean contract, I've been a wee bit busy. But , seeing as it's the weekend, and I've just completed lesson 4 I'll explain what we've done s'far; Lesson 1 was about Major chords (for all root notes) and how to derive their relative minors Lesson 2 Was about the 4 types of Triads min, maj, aug, dim etc Tunes as examples.... Soul Limbo, Abracadabra, Lambada, Lessons in Love Lesson 3 I missed as I was in Holland for the interview, but it was about rythmn and note length No example tunes. Lesson 4 Was about note recognition and simple funk basslines (apart from that last Bernard Edwards one;) Example tunes: Dance to the Music,Let's Groove Tonite, Get Down On It, Hi de Hi Hi de Ho, Good Times Next week :):) How to play slap bass Lesson 6 I'll miss due to being in caribbean. Lesson 7 as above Lesson 8 - 10 tba I'll mail about them as and when possible. A true home run of a song-'nuff said. Quick question: On the video of said song, is the young girl holding the various cards with the lyrics related to either King or Lindup? My wife and I swear she's related to Lindup. Any comments? It is Jakko on the cover..........only he is capable of doing impressions of the Fish men from Stingray (Portsmouth 91) and I can vouch that only he has a Gary Glitter haircut....a point of constant annoyance which is why he grew it longer for the last tour.
