Hansen) Date: Mon, 31 Oct 94 9:08:18 EST Subject: New Billy Cobham album Howdy, I read a brief blurb in "Pulse" magazine (the Tower Records publication which, incidentily, isn't all that bad - and free!) about Billy Cobham's new album. I am a big fan of Billy's older stuff, especially when he played drums for Mahavishnu Orchestra. Anyways, I am mentioning this because Gary Husbands is featured on several tracks. Apparently, the two are friends. One song features both of them duking it out. I probably won't bother to pick this album up, but I was happy that L42 was mentioned when they were listing Gary's other projects. - Eric ------------------------------ ------------------------------ From: lazlo @ RT66.com (Lazlo Nibble) Date: Mon, 31 Oct 1994 09:01:38 -0700 (MST) Subject: Alan Murphy > I have two questions concerning Alan Murphy( former guitarist with Level > 42). I too really like the song "Good Man In The Storm" which I only first heard a couple of weeks ago on a local radio station here in Tucson, Arizona (where I go to school). While I am quickly becoming an avid Level 42 fan, Go West happens to be my FAVORITE group! I'm glad to know you enjoy their music as well. I recently found out, through a music analysist in the UK, that Go West recently split up after the release of "Aces and Kings," their greatest hits album. I still can't believe this is true, and I'm trying for a second opinion. If it is true, this combined with the recent split of Level 42 leaves a tremendous void in the music industry. The UK Analist did tell me however, that Peter Cox will be embarking upon a solo career sometime in the near future. A friend of mine also informed me that Peter is working on a project with Nick Kershaw, but it hasn't been confirmed yet. I have an extremely extensive collection of Go West music. Including various remixes. I'd be happy to send you a list of what I've got, and perhaps we could exchange copies with each other. --Jonathan Frumin Respond to: Fruminj @ gas.uug.arizona.edu
