Back in '85, this song grabbed me like no other -- I've always considered it the finest four minutes in the history of pop music. :-) But little did I know that the lyrics would prophecize events in my life that would happen nearly ten years later. When I realized the correlation, I was stunned. After ten years of listening to this song, it suddenly takes on a whole new meaning for me. Cosmic connection, perhaps? W.A. would laugh his ass off. :-) But at the very least, this song and others hold a lot of personal importance to me. Yes, I *do* feel very strongly about this band and this music, and I'm damn proud to say so (he says, as he accepts the Oscar for Best Dramatic Performance On A Mailing List ... :-) > Now I'm wishing there was someone local to at least share what Level 42 > means to me. I guess I could do that with all of you. Hey, that's what the Net does best. You think Albuquerque is swarming with Level 42 fans? I thought that was remarkable, and admirable of them. "She Can't Help Herself" is another particularly powerful song.
