Hi people! I said I'd update you. On June 20th 1994 I ordered 3 Level 42 CDs. 5 days later I ordered a 4th. On the first I ordered World Machine (UK), Staring At The Sun and Level 42. On the 25th I ordered Forever Now. About a month later FN showed up. Not bad. Not to long after that, Level 42 showed up. I was soon to find out though that the selection they had for Staring At The Sun was out of print. (I believe it came from Holland? ) But they soon had a POLYDOOR selection which was new and hot off the presses. So I had them order that one. By now it's about July or August. September rolls around and Staring comes into their posession. But they didn't send it out as they had done with Level 42. Reason is unknown. A rep gave some blurb about label printing and the fact that they were still waiting for _World_ to come in. Time passes. It's now October and I have no way to know what's going on with the order because I lost my wallet and had to get a new Credit Card and forgot to tell Delphi about it before my next charge. So bye bye account. :) So I take a weekend trip. Get home Saturday and what's here?!? :) A parsel from CDE! :) What's in it? Staring At The Sun _AND_ World Machine! Inspection proves it is indeed the UK version. Contains all the UK tracks (Dream Crazy is a COOL tune!) And this one follows the L42 almost tradition of having the title track as the first album track. Problems: _World_ had a cracked case that came apart when opened. Inspection showed lint or something on the CD. Could it be that they sold me a used disc as new? I'm not going to bitch. The disc plays perfectly and doesn't skip once. So... The deal is that I got all the hard-to-find-in-the-US albums by L42. I had to wait a long while, but they came through for me and I now have CD copys of all L42's albums. CDE works. You have to have lots of patience. But it's worth it in the end. Anyone want to provide me real Internet access for some unlimited time for some fee around $40/month? I give Delphi $20 for 20 hours and am limited to 7PM-7AM free access. :) -- Mark E Daniel (Loving SysOp of The Legend BBS) Inet: mark @ legend.akron.oh.us "To the world he was the master/His landscapes medaniel @ delphi.com (Direct INet)filled the gallery halls/Now he painted only portrits/Framed upon his private walls/For a kinder eye to see us not as we are but as we dream" [Level 42 "A kinder eye"]
