I'm also sorry to Bill, but honestly man, your message did come across as quite arrogant. Perhaps that wasn't what you intended, but it did look that way. Anyway, you're right (at least about this point :) ), enough is enough. ;) Here's a question: now that a couple of you have been so gracious as to tell me what _Fait Accompli_ is, does anyone know where I can get it? Is it still being released, or has it been yanked like most other L42 stuff? Rob ------------------------------ From: eric (Eric J. I also seem to recall an on-line service (i.e., CD Connection, but a different one) that had videos. You might check out one of the video newsgroups... - Eric ------------------------------ From: auchan @ icogsci1.UCSD.EDU (Augustin Chan) Date: Sun, 9 Oct 1994 21:00:06 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Trying to get Level 42 to tour in US I was wondering whether any of us fans in the US have personally written/gotten in touch with Crockford management in order to get them to tour in the US. If not, I think the legion of American fans should get together and try to get some sort of petition started! I mean shit, when was the last time they toured in the US? '86/87?? They can't be in that much financial difficulty that they can't afford/risk to have a few dates in the US. What is everyone else's thoughts on this? Here's my favorite L42 albums, in order 1) World Machine (of course) 2) True Colors (it's got some great funky tunes) 3) Forever Now 4) and then it sort of levels off from there... I personally didn't like Running in the Family _that_ much, there are several good songs, but it sounds a bit too commercialized for me... not enough funk, you know? I feel from a song-writing stand-point it was formulaic... does anyone else feel the same?? Or does everyone else feel that it was a perfect album?? You're kidding, right? Tours lose money, period. They lose even more when they aren't promoting a new album (the additional sales of which one usually hopes will offset the costs of the tour). A band in the process of breaking up certainly can't afford to tour! -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo @ rt66.com) ::: She's got the right dynamic for the new frontier
